I just graduated and my dad is going to UK to attend my graduation ceremony this December.
I'm thinking of buying a souvenir gift from Vietnam to give to my supervisor, some traditional small thing to put on the table, with words on it. Like "From <name> to <name>", "To my supervisor <name>"??
I don't want to make it too casual Do you know what is normally put on gifts like that? It could be an one or two liners...

souvenir and gift means the same, its just different languages its like saying imma buy a gift gift just saying..
well you can try to put something meaningful to you two, like something he always said or something, to make it more personal y'know

you could tatoo it on your arm.

Actually, a souvenir and a gift are different things - so you can buy a souvenir as a gift (: .. and I have no idea what you could put - maybe something he said or just a simple 'Thanks'
|
I'm thinking something of the line "my thankful regards to .... " yeah it's kinda boring. But to put something funny he said, i'm afraid that it would be bit unappropriated ):
btw, the gift on my mind is a small model of "trong dong" (a traditional kind of bronze drum in Vietnam) that has some words on it.

Better have a "BATTRANG" set of tea cups. WE almost see it as the most traditional thing from Vietnam. I did several times and they like it alot I just put "thank you" most of the time
