I'm really tired. About a couple of months back, I fell for this girl and things didn't turn out well. She always had a boyfriend even though I thought she liked me.
But that was then and I've moved on from it. Somehow, those emotions have snowballed till now. I don't feel for her anymore but its just an emptiness.
My major exams are nearing really soon in about 2 weeks time. Its the exam that determines which university I'll be going to. I've still got some things I haven't started revising but I'm so tired.
I feel burnt out and restless. It seems endless at how the things keep coming at you. The principal talked to us about how working hard for these few more weeks would give us years od enjoyment. "2 months of hard work for 80 years of enjoyment" he said.
Biology is a pain. Has anyone done molecular biology? Its nice to study but all that pressure takes the fun away.
I try playing starcraft for relaxation but it just brings more frustration and I'm really burnt out from studying. I can't give up on myself since exams will end within the next 40 days or so. But man its just so hard. QQ

Exams are nowhere near as important as schools try to make them seem to be.
it doesn't matter what university you go to or anything it's all stupid don't worry about it.
my friend got DDC at A-level went to a pretty crappy university that anyone can get in to.
now he earns 48,000 as a marketing guy for a business.
and that's GBP
that's 122,371 Singaporean dollars a year
or like 95,000 us dollars. np?

If you're physically tired, take some rest. Eat & sleep well.
If you're mentally tired, it's not a good excuse. It's just you. Get up and study. Once you start reading those first chapters, it'll go smoothly you wouldn't even feel tired.

Yeah right, but there are also thousands of people who went to crappy uni. and end up no where.
It's selection bias.

mb in vietnam
kinda comes down to intelligence here.
the main thing employers care about is the interview / your commitment / do you live local/ work extra time.
things like that, it's not like a machine where what you put in is what you get out. at all. thats the point im trying to make

Man...
Take 2 days off, go to the fucking seaside or find a forest, anyway a place when you forget about people and civilisation, forget about your books and exams, be alone or with one good friend, enjoy the nature and it will be fine.
I know this feeling. You just have to rebuild a bit yourself, and for that, you need loneliness and calm. When I say loneliness, it's not to stay at home, obvioulsy.
You'll do your best for your exams.

Ok. Do you consider that success is how much you earn? I guess you can do better with your life than to earn "biiig moaaaney".
(For example doing something more interesting than marketing for a fat company.)

Having fun instead of working + easy job + lots of money< stressing out every day + hard job + less money. your call. Yep cause the only reason he earns 48k is because he sucked at school. Ehm Studying is about giving yourself choices and improving your odds. Sure things can end up great without you studying for shit. (My dad is another example of that) But they are way more likely to end up shitty than if you do have a nice degree from a nice uni.
To OP you just have to push yourself I guess :/ It's not easy I know, make sure that you eat nice food and sleep enough to at least keep the physical side of yourself happy.

If you're mentally tired, do some physical work. Like go for a run, lift some weights, or something like that. It stimulates something in the brain, and you'll recharge your batteries.

A-levels, eh? g'luck with that...and honestly, exams are way too overrated. even if you end up in a nice cushy job you have no purpose other than to work for a company and help them make profits...so try and find something great to do.

Lol. If you meant drugs.. well not really death penalty but you get caned for consuming them and have to go rehab for like 2 years I think.. or is it 1.
Death penalty is if you sell and stuff.

Singaporean schools are in love with the idea that exams are the most important thing, and that getting into a good university to get a high-paying job is the only 'proper' lifestyle. It can be pretty oppressing at times, especially as there's rarely any other viewpoint.
Just chill out, talk to some people abroad, try to realize school is not as serious as you've been made to think. There are a lot of universities and job options, your life does not hinge on the following tests as much as schools preach.

Hey JMave, hehe same situation as me man, taking those exams in 2 weeks time. Good luck to you :D. Just take it easy right now and plan out your stuff, you'll do fine.

Said like a true loser.
You cannot quote 1 example and then try to make that kind of generalisation
It DOES matter what university your going to go to. Everything matters. Dont ever get into the mindset that it doesnt matter. That is how you will fail.
Instead look at it as a task, a goal, a challenge. Think about how you are going to show yourself how great you really are, that you are going to do the best you can do.
To counter the fatigue, make sure you are getting enough sleep (At least 8 hours a day), eat healthy, exercise regularly and take a break when you need to.
Ive studyed molecular biology, I know how you feel. Lots of fun to learn at your own pace and when your interested. Killer when your learning from nessecity.
I wouldnt play starcraft unless starcraft is a relaxing game for you. I associate starcraft with balls to the wall craziness. Not really a destressing activity. Try activties that allow you to sit back and relax rather than be forced to be alert. Just sitting back with headphones listening to music is a great way to destress.
Good luck, and I wish you well

i have olvls in the next week too, feeling pretty screwed as well, all i can say is have a good rest, plan your studies and good luck :D I feel your pain.
