Vista sucks balls. Ok, not literally, nor metaphorically, I just felt like saying that. Fuck you, hahahaha!
Here are some things I noticed that were improvements from XP:
1. Shit is prettier.
2. Shit is newer.
3. Shit, haha shit.
OK! Here's the deal, shit's not worth it dog nawimsayin'? It's like when you install a new operating system and it fails to deliver -- just like that feeling, it's uncanny! TEEHEE.
So, um, the only things that I liked were the nice compact program list (Exhibit-motherfucking-A) compared to the HUGEGANTIC one in XP which takes up your entire screen (Exhibit-goddamn-B).

ALSO! Vista is undoubtedly pretty, pretty like Amereican supercar pretty. You can't but help be overwhelmed by the exhuberant amount of *SHINY*. Shiny comes with a cost, however, Vista likes to consume lots of RAM, somewhere around, ohhhhh, SEVEN HUNDRED MILLION MEGABYTES. Okok, it was on the highest pretty setting -- BUT STILL!
IN ADDITION! When I formatted my Vista partition, Windows boot loader kept looking for Vista for some reason.

SO! What I ended up doing was formatting my XP partition as well because shit pissed me off, it was late, I have OCD, and damn it feels good to be a gangsta.
PROMPTLY AFTER! I reinstalled XP and on my second partition installed Fedora Core 9 Nintendo 64 version (Exhibit-butt-fucking C). It was a bit of a pain in the butt, but I did it, and it was FUN. It's like, when you eat a steak, shit ain't satisfying, you gotta kill that cow with your bare hands. Thrill of the hunt y'know?

TAKE NOTE! If you like to have working mp3s, flash player, embedded video, etc. out of the box, shit ain't for you son.
BUT! If you like doing shit like this for fun gopher it (LOL!).

Lucky i just use a vista themed xp :D Has the same pretty looks. And my program list looks the same as vista

I use Vista primarily just so other people comment and whine about it.

vista is so flawed.games crashes and my torrents download so slow in vista due to the tcp/ip limitation. i reinstalled to xp and now my downloads are 100 times faster after i patched the tcp/ip limit. the vista one couldn't be patched.

Vista is a bitch on 1gb of RAM... it works so much better now after I turned off all the visual stuff

I'm going to regret bumping this, but it's not so much that Vista is slow. I was merely remarking on how many resources it takes compared to XP, of course, I could just turn off all the fancy graphics and prettifications but then what would be the point of switching to Vista in the first place?
Security? Non-issue for me.
UI improvements? Not so much a non-issue, it's just that I've been using XP for a good 5 years and counting, so by now I'm used to it's flaws.
GUI? I don't need pretty, pretty is nice to look at and fading stuff is fun but that was SO 2006 with Compiz / Beryl. Plus, after a while it starts feeling like you're using Vista on extra high latency.
The answer is: nothing that I really care about.
To be more clear, and honest, there was really no point, in the week or so that I was dual booting, at which I said to myself "I need Vista to do this" or "Vista would be better at this than XP". So I just stuck with XP.

If you have a video card, your UI will be faster with Aero than without it.
Search index is pretty hot, as is having monster programs like MediaMonkey and anything from Office2k7 start up instantly.
You really need to give it like a month. XP inevitably slows down at that point and Vista speeds up a bit.
EDIT: The way the Start menu first loads is pretty fucking stupid. I made a 'Windows Shit' folder and dragged all that crap in there.
