Popular online games have *masses* of bm kiddies, age of the game doesn't matter as long as it's still somewhat popular. SC is almost as bad in this regard as CS which probably no sane person is playing anymore. I used to be annoyed by such behavior too but I've learned to ignore it in most cases. When I played Quake 3 I often got into discussions with such lamers... to no avail of course. They'll just keep on whining and flaming, whether they lose or win (of course they start doing it most often when they lose). Just ignore it, or, if you want to be mean, always reply with a ":P" smiley and nothing else. That will piss off a lot of these lamers if they are losing, it'll frustrate them even more. Remember that he must be frustrated, otherwise he probably wouldn't start flaming to begin with... you can use that to really make him mad.

That should fix major problems. I classify still few points very bad manner and that is whispering "gg" after game if I lost without saying "gg" (which I don't say). Second bad thing is asking for regame. If I say no then its no (I don't play twice vs same guy), this is because SC2 most likely will not have this feature if its going to be like WC3 ladder.

"Your a fucking noob" "Its too bad I am not even trying" "You such and I don't think you'll get past D rank" so I was replying "if I suck so much and I'm a noob and you are losing to be then aren't you a bigger noob" and his reply is shut the fuck up you dumb fuck you suck and I'm not trying" Last thing I said to him was check Caller @ ICCup since last season D. Here is his profile: http://iccup.com/iccprofile/75527/ See this is the thing that I don't understand. He is 20-12 and isn't really that good and I'm raping him [oh and btw hes from the usa - ]...so i'm raping him and he's calling me a noob and says he isn't trying. ICCup has some weird bm people. Like today someone took my gas and then I 2 rax + scv rush him and he say gg and leave and then I proceed to message him in the channel saying 'fuck you for taking gas'. I didn't take screenshots of this garbage cause I didn't feel like and I was trying to micro during the TvZ. I don't understand why people can't be good manner and when they lose its either because: a) You made stupid mistakes and could've won b) Your opponent is better then you ICCup can really be annoying at times.

To me not saying gg is like saying "you won but I'm better, you got lucky". But what if it wasn't? What if you lose to a D- player doing a 4pool and you messing up? You still say gg? I just don't think it's very important on ladders. I always 'gg' in official games - clanleagues and tours - but on a ladder I'd prefer not to. I think it's because of the lack of knowledge who I'm playing. What if you played a known hacker like Dino on a smurf? I sure as hell wouldn't risk typing 'gg' to someone like Dino.

But what if it wasn't? What if you lose to a D- player doing a 4pool and you messing up? You still say gg? Yes. Because he beat you in the mind game. You should have played safer, even if you were worried about Combat-EX getting an economic lead. In those D level ranks, you have to play more moderately. To the op: I've never seen that on iCCup, but I have seen it a few times on B.net, especially when I do those random observer pubbies. I'll be play TvP, and when it's clear I'm owning him, he'll start telling me how much I suck and how I'm a noob turtler... I guess he wanted me to move out with insufficient forces so he could have won, instead of doing a standard 6 fac timing attack against him while he was getting his 3rd expo (and actually a 4th one too, the greedy little bastard). If I actually had been a turtle, he would have gotten his carriers out in time to not be completely useless, but I'm such a noob I attacked when he was weak. NR BETWEEN 7 AND 8 MINUTES STUPID NOOB! Then he proceeded to continue whispering me after the game was over. I guess he was really humiliated or something. Maybe he was on a streak of wins in the observer games and was getting lots of compliments. PS: He was definitely American PPS: Oh my gosh, friendly banter!

There's way better people then you typing gg losing to stupid shit. You're the one taking game personally since u get mad over a loss. Hypocrite. ... Wait, read my post again, I don't think you got it. Getting mad over a loss has nothing to do with it. I've lost to massling from an inferior opponent and gg'ed many times in matches. I said it's because laddering with ICCup accounts doesn't have anything related to you as a person. Sure if I recognize a nick, or if it was run like TSL or Spirit I'd type gg every game unless my opponent is a known asshole. I believe it is good to take things personally, if you start saying gg as a habit the word has lost its value. As it is now, I simply do not care and I don't see why anyone else would. I'm exactly as happy with the 'xxx has left the game' as a gg on ICCup.

What if you played a known hacker like Dino on a smurf? I sure as hell wouldn't risk typing 'gg' to someone like Dino. how much of your pride does it cost you to type gg? isn't it always going to pay off in the long run to be polite and concede with dignity? i don't get how you people are so wrapped up in yourselves that even as a member of tlnet who knows how the game works, knows what makes a good community like ours, and knows how bm only hurts our game, you can still find some shitty excuse to not say an innocent pair of letters. i've played a lot of games where i'm ahead all game, lose, feel like complete shit but still bring myself to gg, only to see the other guy say 'wow i got lucky, good game' and talk about the game a bit. it's infinitely better to see that than just leave and steam about it. edit: even after all this, i'm fine if you ultimately decide not to gg, doesn't affect me at all. just don't try to justify it with some bullshit excuse like you did in your last post - if you say 'gg' too much, it loses its meaning? are you serious?

Saying you have some ideological objection to saying gg after you lose to a four pool is laughably absurd. If you beat someone with cheese, and they said gg, would you not say gg because it wasn't really a good game, you just all-ined because you felt it was the best way to win? Would you say "I disagree?"
