YMCK - Quality chiptunes from Tokyo

YMCK somehow stands out however; they are really perfecting a different sound than most chiptune artists and this has some possibility of breaking out beyond the super-subculture. That and they are putting out the most stunning 8bit music videos I have ever seen. The video for 'Starlight' is absolutely breathtaking: I just purchased their newest album, 'Family Genesis', and it is absolutely fantastic. One of my favorite tracks, which is the track that turned me on to them when I heard it at Muzak for Cybernetics, is Future Invasion. Click that title to sample it yourself, it is a good one. If anyone knows any other great chiptune acts that would be a sin to pass over, please leave a comment. :D

She - Truly amazing artist, you can download the first album Pioneer on 8bitpeoples legally, and the latest album Coloris on his homepage. Anamanaguchi - They have some really catchy tunes, make sure you listen to Helix Nebula, that one is simply amazing. You can download their album, Helix Nebula on 8bitpeoples. Dubmood - A chiptune legend, everyone needs to listen to his music, it's just too damn good to pass up, you can download all his stuff right here. Maktone - Another old-school legend, most of his music can be found here, you probably need a player like xmplay as most of the songs are in .xm/.mod/.sid format. Also, make sure you give 8bitpeoples a look, TONS of artists, all chiptunes, and best of all, you can download everything for free!
