Another poll thread!
Who is your favourite pro-gamer between these two? July was epic before Savior, but for those relatively noob to the scene they wonder what's so special about him. And Savior has been playing absolutely crap against other pro-gamers recently. And for the old school July fans, did you continue being loyal true fans or was your allegiance switched to Savior?

Cant I say tie? July was my fav pro gamer when I first came around, during Saviors height of dominance, so I grew a huge affinity to both...

I can't choose at all. I'm not like sAviOr, who can like BoxeR and only BoxeR. There are just too many cool progamers.

I loved that series against Best, but I can't see how anyone can go against savior.

Is there an option for both? You can't pit the two greatest zergs against each other and force us to choose between them.
But I voted for July, since he inspired me to start playing more aggressive.

I like both, but I would have to give it to July for several reasons:
- strategy: July
- micro: July
- macro: Savior
- game sense: July
- early game: July
- mid-game: July
- late game: Savior
- mentality: July
- image: Savior
- dominant era: Savior
- overall: July

Have you ever seen Savior play? Some points may be subject to discussion but the first two plus game sense are absolutely in Savior's favor.

July is the original zerg champion.
He is how zerg was meant to be played, he characterizes extraordinary willpower, and always a ferocious passion for the game.
Savior was far more dominant in his reign, sure, but when he started losing hard, he crumbled, teared, and stumbled. That kind of weakness does not make him the greatest ever in my book, and I do recall him being arrogant and cocky, especially right before the finals vs Bisu..how satisfying that was to see such a monumental upset.
July is humble, he doesn't even consider himself the best, he congratulates/sympathizes with the people he defeats, and even if he gets horribly destroyed, he finds a way to piece himself back again.
July has had much, much worse setbacks that Savior and here he still stands moving on.
I will always root for July till the end, he represents a certain human resilience I admire so much.

I really don't understand why there are so many Savior fans. I'm a fan of neither, but prefer July even if he just beat BeSt.

Doing this poll at this time is going to skew the results. It would have been very interesting if we did this poll a year ago. Savior would have a lot more votes methinks.
I personally like July more. Savior was more impressive, but I see July as some sort of mini-Nada zerg version. He's so much fun to watch and it's great seeing him do well in different era's of SC pro gaming

How does it make no sense? Please enlighten me Testie because to me it looks fairly accurate. Perhaps I need to explain my rationale more. It took me a while to do.

I'm going to try and keep this brief.
So you guys want to hear my thoughts on strategy, micro and game sense, okay! Here we go:
July's preparation for BeSt could sum this up quite easily (July finds weaknesses in your builds and then exposes them-- we've seen this against Best, GoRush and Goodfriend), but for those who haven't been around for long, I'll go into more detail.
Savior was a one trick phony pony during his rule. He never had any variety. His macro is what made him dominant. He would take over the map within a heartbeat.
I must admit, he used the maps to his great advantage and tech to hive quickly. Everyone would say something like this, "Savior + Hive = Win."
No one had an answer to Savior until Bisu came along with his ninjas and sair. Look what happened after that.
Savior has never been in the right mindset, whereas July has had to face a lot more adversity than him. July's style is more appealing as well: he can beat you with cheese with his superior ling and mutalisk micro, he mixes it up, he can win mid-game and he can win a macro war. Simply put, he has more class.
Back to Savior: adrenaline glands. How many times have we seen Savior make this mistake?
Until Savior comes out of his slump, July is stronger mentally and strategically.
Savior really needs to mix up his play style.
Now look at July and the many ways he won his title, not to mention, he has more accomplishments. It's all relative.
Savior dominated 2006 and July's been more colorful from 2004-2008.
