Ever since i could remember, whenver I didn't get enough sleep for days or my 9 hours of UNINTERRUPTED sleep, i would get these things inside my mouth that looks like an indention of a piece of rice inside my mouth behind my lip. Whenever food touches it, it hurts like heck and it basically goes away after a good amount of sleep days and days later.
Since I'm Korean, it's espcially painful becuz korean foods have so much spices, espcially kimchee becuz it's so spicy so im forced to move it around my mouth so it doesn't ever touch that spot but sometimes it does and it's a mixture of a stinging+burning feeling, very painful.
So my purpose of this blog is to see if anyone else out there has/had this and to know what it's called, and if there a treatment for it. It's definitely not a cold sore as it doesn't bubble out or anything. To better describe it, it's like a blister but it's inside ur mouth.

try using mouthwash before you go to bed every day

It's called herpes, there's no treatment.

Canker sores. I get them a lot (or used to, not so much any more). I hear yogurt helps to prevent them, you may want to try eating some of that.

That's what my mom called them, but I never heard other people refer to them so I've never really been sure. I noticed I got it a lot from eating greasy foods, though I practically never get them anymore and I have no idea why. Maybe because I cut back a lot on soda?

I usually get them after I bite myself.

Prolly cankers, I get them sometimes, very annoying. The absolutly best way to get rid of them that I've ever found in to rinse your mouth with salt water (and then not rinse it out after heh). Clears them up really fast. Remember not to swallow the salt water cause you'll yak... Can taste pretty bad though...

its called a canker/kanker sore the treatment is! nothing ROFL you just basically live through it in the meantime you basically look it up on google for ways to ease through it =] oh and its when you bite yourself/ genetic so anyone can have it without doing anything

Whenever I get a fever blister or any kind of sore inside my mouth, I cover that bitch in salt. It hurts a lot, but it basically gets rid of them in one day (plus, I kind of like that painful burning sensation you get from pouring salt on a wound).

should go away on its own.

You guys just ruined hours of potential fun.

I get pretty bad canker sores, and I've tried quite a few things that I've read here and other places, and pretty much nothing worked for me. All the salt tricks, baking soda tricks, they helped a little but not very much and not nearly enough to be considered a solution. Of course things like Orajel and stuff ease the pain, but they don't really get rid of them or prevent them either.
But I read somewhere that using Listerine every night before bed and every morning when you wake up keeps them away, since it kills all of the germs. I didn't think it'd work, but I tried it and since then I pretty much never get them, and if I do they're very tiny and almost unnoticeable. Unfortunately it seems that if I stop using Listerine for a few days they start to come back though.
Anyway, that's my advice. Nothing else worked for me, and I've gotten them pretty bad for most of my youth so I would think that this would work for just about anyone.

Hmm, I recently got what I am assuming is the same thing, but there was almost no pain involved, unless something (food, or my tongue) applied pressure to it. Is it just less painful for some people?

Canker sores, also known as aphthous ulcers, are small sores that occur inside the mouth.
Avoid: A. SLS(sodium lauryl sulfate) found in Toothpaste and some mouthwashes B. Allergies to Food Products and Certain Preservatives C. Trauma from Brushing your Teeth too vigorously D. Lip Biting E. Stress F. Trauma from Eating Hard, Rough Foods (Potato Chips, Pretzels) G. Deficiencies in Vitamin B12, iron, and folic acid.
Good ways to heal them, Take Vitamin E pills and break them open ; should be yellowish, pods that have a liquid mixture inside, rub that on your sore
Or just use salt

rub salt into them untill the ulcers bleed.. thats wat i usually do.. and it does work but u will have to endure pain for a few minutes while the salt works its magic..
