Xeofreestyler Belgium6774 Posts April 16 2008 23:21 GMT #1 Hi guys First of all thanks to the people who posted stuff in that last topic. My thanks can only be measured in jiggawatts. Now on to business. The assignment & my concept: Experimental expressive typography. Get a creative interpretation of how feeling can be put into words. Rather than going with the classic dadaistic bullshit everyone wanted to do I took a different direction. People always experience feelings. Sometimes those feelings are linked to abstract visualisations in our mind. Usually this is coupled with a positive emotion towards the subject you're dealing with. I for one have always had a passion for science. There's something magical about it all and just hearing scientific words, even if I have no clue what they're about, gives me vibes! So anyway, we had to make 5 works but I'm up to 4 right now. Wether I finish the 5th one depends on time and inspiration. (If you still have any cool terms dont hesitate!) Some kind of space-time weave or something. Or Hawkings radiation: Make a space-time weave with an "infinite" dip down into a black hole, and make a little flash on the event horizon (at the edge of the hole, wherever that may be) where two particles are created in a little flash, one going straight for the black hole the other escaping the gravity. Or LHC (Large Hadron Collider): make a proton and an antiproton colliding. At near light speed protons (and antiprotons) look like a mess of quarks and gluons (both elementary particles), all connected by small strings of colorfields. You could make more protons/antiprotons in the background for effect. Or make them so that they just have collided, and one of the quark/gluons in the proton have colided with one of the quark/gluon in the antiproton to merge into a new bigger Higgs particle. Label the picture "Higgs production". They would love it down at LHC.
