i see, are you looking for another job now? I read in your last post that you had to support your family. I don't quite understand how you can support your family with like $5.75 an hour, hell, driving to work would cost more than what you get paid

I've had a lot of jobs. I can say without doubt McDonalds was the most consistent fun I've had working.

That sucks.

@ Chill Then that probably revolves around who you were working with, rather than the job itself. On the note of payment, and a good impression for the resume, i wouldn't advise McDonalds, as pretty much anyone can get a job there, especially if you are bilingual in english and spanish (the 2 most common languages where I live).

That was beautiful.

I cry quite a lot, so what? It's nothing to be ashamed of, if you supress it, now that's unhealthy.

Neat. Wanna be my girlfriend? I've been looking for one that'd play Starcraft with me, and my most recent dating failure got baptized last week, mentioned that she planned on becoming celibate until marriage, and then implied that, no, she wasn't planning on marrying me. So... my social schedule's totally open for some Starcraft and a movie (who needs food?)! I'll let you stormdrop my mineral-line anytime.

tadzio: Thanks for the offer, but I already have a boyfriend. Sorry. ;] caucasianasian: I don't know. It's not really enough. We are behind on a lot of bills and just barely avoiding foreclusure every month. My mom is going to apply for unemployment soon so hopefully she will get it. But it probably has something to do with the fact that we do not buy any food, clothes, never turn on our heater or air conditioner, etc etc.

Leave him. Trust me, I'm better for you than he is. I cry during superhero/action flicks! What more evidence do you need?

does your mom work at all? How about your dad? It sucks to be in your position though, I doubt you're attending college in your financial situation, and at the age of 21, helping to support your family is a very noble thing to do.
There are a lot of other jobs that would probably be better for your family's situation than working at McDonalds. (unless you're working part time and going to a community college).
My mom just recently became a 911 Operator where she sits in a nice weathered building, answering phone calls and then types on a computer the problem, location etc... She's getting paid like a 38k or something starting salary, plus benefits etc... Great option for her for supplemental income.

caucasianasian: My mom did some seasonal work for a few months recently. She never worked much her whole life, plus it's hard for her to get a job because she has health issues, a felony on her record from when she was young, and no high school diploma. My dad died about 6 years ago, which is why we are in this financial situation. He made enough money alone for us to live on. And no, I had to put college on hold. D:
I might start looking for another job. McDonald's is getting on my nerves.

A) Put the 20$ bills in the register till manager comes B) Stuff the 20$ bills into your pocket
But seriously, I hate handling money at my job. Everything is computerized and at the end of the day you drop all your money in the safe, aka you punch in your register number and scan all your money through. After that the computer prints out a sheet and telling you how much you are over or under. I'm really careful with money but sometimes manage to be over or under 1-2$.
One day I was under 20$ and freaked out, it was like my second week on the job so none of my coworkers really knew me, and of course couldn't really trust me yet. I was the new guy, and my register was 20$ short... It took about 20 minutes of waiting around while my manager did god knows what, until second shift coworkers found a 20$ bill stuck inside the register in the very back (it slid under my till, so I had no clue).
I didn't cry or have a group hug like you, but it was pretty nerve racking. Being my first job and all, everything is still new to me.

Well I hope karma helps you out and you get lucky with something you both enjoy and pays enough to be financially stable. Good luck!
