Since the first blog post, I've been setting aside at least 2 hours every day to learn Korean. The really strange thing is that I'm actually motivated to do it. Learning languages has never been my forte. I keep thinking back to when I learnt French at school. That nightmare lasted till AS-Level (~4 years) but that was pretty much because I couldn't drop the damned subject.
Compared to French, I actually look forward to learning Korean. In fact, I even postponed watching the latest bunch of hyped up PL/MSL games in order to learn a few extra words of Korean vocab last week !!!111 (COMPLETE MADNESS, I know).
If anyone is wondering how I'm currently learning Korean, I spent a while downloading all the Korean language programs I could find on the internet. All two of them. () One is Rosetta Stone which I found to be shit (sorry Rosetta fans, it chains a truck to your legs and throws you into the deepest part of the Pacific).
The second program, or rather bunch of programs, is Declan's Read/Write Korean and Korean HakGyo. After unashamedly and feverishly searching for a crack on the internet for several hours, I was forced to hand over some of my precious GBP for a registration code. ( x2). Paying for programs on the internet especially when I've hardly heard of them is almost against my religion. Sadly however I was out of alternatives.. so whathahell. D:
After using the Declan Korean software for 5 days or so, I can definitely vouch for them tho. But if you are a complete noob to Korean (as I was/am), I found this site to be a great lubricant prior to full penetration of Korean grammar and vocabulary.
That's about it for now. :| Thanks for reading and thanks for your comments!
P.s. As you can see (or not...), I've been working incredibly hard on my post count (of TEN) so hopefully we can put that behind us. :[
