Some of you may be familiar with Jonathan Coulton's "Thing a Week". Essentially, he writes a song every week just to keep his creative juices flowing.
I write mainly a cappella music, meaning no instruments except for vocal percussion are involved. I'm going to write one song a week (unless things come up like finals, etc.) for a year.
Unfortunately, my group resides elsewhere from where I'm living now, so we won't get a chance to record my songs for a while.
So for now all I can post are lyrics, which are really lame at times.
Not all songs need be original. A cappella is a style that likes to take other music and transcribe it to voice only. For instance, I'm working on a version of "Stacy's Mom" for 5 voices (I have two groups, an all-male sextet, and a mixed 5 part group).
You'll need Sibelius Scorch (ActiveX I believe that opens in IE) or Sibelius to open the files, unfortunately.

This song is "Christmas in Harmony", meant to go at 80 BPM (It will play at 100, slow it down please). It is a slower moving ballad, and there's rally no point to the song. I'm just working my chording skills back to where they used to be.
Feel free to post any thoughts, or suggestions for future "Song(s) of the week".
Oh, and thanks for the Temp-ban, Haji. I go through my exams alive.
