First of all, if you are knowledgable about this issue, PLEASE help me!
I don't know what happened but two days ago, my computer got like a virus and it is now seriously fucked up. I can't access the Internet, clicking on Firefox says "This application has failed to start because js3250.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." and IE just opens up a blank page. I get Windows Security Alerts. I can't do system restores, and when I try to access certain programs, it says "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator."
The only thing I have ever needed to do was system restore, but now I can't do that. I'm scared of telling my parents atm and I hope someone at TL can help me solve my problem before I have to tell them? I have also tried to re-install Windows XP, don't know if that helps, but it says I can't because my current version of Windows is newer than the one on the cd. And my PC is a Dell Dimension 8400 and I got it 2005.

Which virus did you get that would help a lot more. Also stop looking at porn sites normally works to ;p

Yeah... goggling around for the specific virus (if you can figure it out) usually leads to tech forums that give you very specific instructions on how to fix your system. Hint: Follow them to a T and print them out beforehand so you can do just that.
It might be a bit of a pain in the arse if you can't download stuff on your computer though... hope you have a flash drive so you can transfer stuff over. :S

Did your Dell come with a repair disk? I'd backup and format. Some viruses are just too much of a pain in the ass to fix.

Becareful with the flash drive because some virus's will corrupt it's drive.

It had Trojan in it. How can I check the name of the virus? and 2 other people I know got it the same time I did. Thanks for the help so far guys, I really need this.

Most virus scanners will tell you the name. So if you don't got one i suggest attempting to get one and using it. AVG is a good free one.

Need some info please:
- are you on some kind of dial-up or are you connected to a router. If so wired or wireless? - Windows XP sp2, yes? - Can you access internet in any way?
This is usually is a malware that is deleting the js3250 file. "Go to C:\Windows\System32\ipv6monl.dll and delete it. Reinstall Firefox and it will work fine."

I suggest asking for help here even if you continue to get help from TL.

if you cant do shit aobut your computer, i'd be better to format anyway. Otherwise, try installing avast antivirus, free and good one.

TKWL: ya I have a wired router, but sp2? and I have another computer at home that I can access the internet with.
