Im closer to eastern philosophies and "religions" like zen, taoism or tibetan buddism but if you like to follow path of Jesus I recommend you to seek the highest intelectual level of christianism. If you are open to see at things from as many points of view as possible i recommend you for example to dig internet for Alan Watts seminars about Jesus and Christianity (torrent, emule, podcasts) | ||

Since when is it a bad thing to enjoy yourself? Since when is it a bad thing to enjoy that which the God you oh-so-firmly believe in created? Unless you take it too far and you become addicted to it, I don't see why on Earth you would need to stop completely? Is it about disciplining yourself or just some other ridiculous Christian rite thing that one cannot reasonably argue for? What in burning hell is wrong with you religious people? You do more harm than good to yourself and possibly others by filling the heads of normal minds with ideas that one way or the other must lead to insanity. You condemn and forbid everything that's remotely fun in life. How does sexual intercourse between man and woman differ from homosexual intercourse or masturbation? How is loving yourself in that literal sense any different from loving another person? How can you say that love is one of the innermost and most basic messages of christianity when you hold yourself from actually practicing that love? You give me more questions than you could ever give me answers. And I think I just found why I don't believe in religion, God, or Jesus. All just bullocks. | ||

It just says sperm should not be wasted. This has been extrapolated to mean anything from not masturbating to the Catholic ban against condoms and other forms of birth control. It's all so subjective. Speaking of which, by that token, homosexuality is also a sin in the Bible, so you may as well take up an anti-gay crusade to be a better Christian. Religious justification for anything is pretty pointless in my opinon. | ||

No man on this earth can not masturbate for a week and then NOT wake up with an erect penis in the morning. It comes to the point where it actually hurts to NOT masturbate. Where is the point to that? Chasticing yourself for being human and having sexual desire? It is that sexual desire, this most basic of instincts, that brought humanity where it is now, whether that be for good or bad. Without it we would not exist, or at least not be what we are now. | ||
