+ Show Spoiler [is boring] +i'm sick of playing DotA with friends and friends of friends i know IRL. they all do the same annoying shit over and over. : (
1. towers : you're in a rush to push a lane asap and they're fucking jacking around waiting to get the last hit. how about you fucking help attack the tower so we can fucking win? and when they do get the last hit, it goes to their shitty S&Y at 60 minutes into the game. or they lose the extra gold as they die in the next 2 minutes.
2. 2vs1 : you're on low health alongside a partner. an enemy's running toward you and obviously trying to kill you. your partner has the dps to take him down as you kite him, but wait, what the fuck? your partner's RUNNING WITH YOU? you verbally abuse his ass when you die and, what the fuck does he say? "i didn't want to die," or my favorite, "QQ more." repeat this scenario 1000x/game
3. QQ : why do only fags say this? it doesn't even fucking look like a crying face.
4. neutral creeping : why are they so fucking intent to neutral creep when we can win by fucking pushing or lose by not defending? oh shit you killed the +9 gold creep. only 377 more taskmasters for your eaglehorn.
5. TPs : why don't they buy fucking TPs? honestly, sometimes it's your style, but i've avoided hundreds of deaths just by running into a dark hole (or not even) and TPing out, even if i had BoTs.
6. sniper/drow : why are these noobs SO IN LOVE with these heroes? they fucking love walking out in the open, past the river, alone, with no TPs or any means of escape. then they scream for backup when they get ganked and you know they're just going to keep doing that shit over and over. then they call you noob.
7. advice : WHY WON'T THEY LISTEN? if it doesn't work, i don't know, IT WON'T WORK AGAIN DOING IT THE EXACT SAME WAY? i remember telling a BH to use track whenever ganking a weaver and he wouldn't fucking track her. and he continued to try and gank her without track throughout the entire fucking game. is it illiteracy? stupidity? arrogance? pride? fuck.
8. solo : why do noobs ask for solo? even with heroes with incredible lane control, they utterly fucking fail every time. wrong skills and priorities, even with constant instruction.
it's such a frustrating game, and when you're losing, it's just a shitty feeling after spending so much time to only lose because your teammates keep doing the same fucking shit over and over again with their arrogance to block whatever learning experience there is. i should've stuck to SC.
does anyone have any particular gripes when it comes to DotA? -_- or even 2vs2's in SC. sigh :{

well, after countless games with friends and pubbies i've learned the best thing to do is act independently and not count on your teammates. this doesn't mean don't help, just, don't count on a teammate to save your ass in situations where they easily can, or when they fuck a gank up, or whatever other crap they do(and it is all the time).
there isn't much you can do though for people who aren't very good at dota, especially in pub games...just gotta learn to deal with their shit. when i first started playing....well scratch that, after i first started dota and got at least 'ok' at it, i would get so annoyed at teammates, and losing games because of them. it's still annoying, but, losing doesn't really matter in dota, unless it's a league game. i just try to do my best. im more annoyed when i do bad and lose then when i do good and lose because of teammates.
after awhile you get used to all the shit that comes with teams in dota-.-

I agree that QQ doesn\'t look like a smiley and I never even saw it before a friend of mine who plays DOTA did it, but now I do it all the time just to annoy opponents. Haha.
My gripe in 2v2 is my ally who is good but when he gets Terran he is so awful but won't admit it
Yea DOTA is annoying, I have similar situations where I play with a friend and his friends and I am miles above them in skill, but I just enjoy the moment and own the entire game by myself. And like the guy above me said, just accept that they won't do anything you'd expect a good player to do. Also, if you find you're getting so angry about a game, try taking a few days break. When you're not actually embroiled in a game or playing a lot you realize how silly it is to get so angry about a game and after that you can see it with a lot more perspective. I know I used to get so mad at shittalking on SC and other games but now that I'm a bit older and don't play nearly as much it doesn't bother me at ALL these days.

it's not like i'm breaking shit left and right after frustrating games. i'm usually indifferent once the game ends but i don't know. you're trying so hard while they're just fucking around and feeding and you can't win, esp when the other team coordinates attacks and yours doesnt, so carrying the team yourself is eh -_- it IS silly, i know, but i'd like a team in a team game :{

DotA games are full with brainless retards... I even had a case when I come to gank someone and a "teammate" cries on all chat that we're 3 in the lane, so I must go to another one... wow how can a person so insanely stupid can count up to 3? I'm amazed!
It's just that no matter how insanely dumb a player is, he can still win a game, because his teammates did the job and he now thinks that his play is good and he should stick to it and continue going 0-15 and leaving his teammates to die, when he could've helped or run anay when it's 3 vs 1 low hp hero and all that shit.

When I play with friends the games are much more enjoyable, since there's teamwork and all of damn have common sense(althought I can't really go 27-0 like in some pubs, which is kind of fun, too), but I don't have lots of friends that play DotA, so this happens rarely ^_^

No... BoT and TP scroll have the SAME COOLDOWN. Why would you spend 135 for 1 extra second.

eh? heroes do 200+ dps late game
one second means death / loss of 500+ gold / time or life and a loss of 135 gold. i've teleported out of so many scenarios where stuns were in the air or i was about to die from one hit and got out just in time. i mean WHY WOULD YOU SPEND THAT MUCH MONEY ON A TP?!?!?/1/111//1/11/
edit: besides, it's always good to have one if someone tries to BD or you can't let a building die
