Now, here's me. This is what I look like.
Here's my Starcraft MMR:
I'm 33 years old. I've been playing Starcraft since the beta release of the original Starcraft in 1997. Today a 22 year old who has been playing this game 1 year told me that I was a "dodger." I've played Starcraft since 1997, which totals 23 years.
I don't think I've been called a dodger since clan-x17 on USEast.
Now what I thought we might do about this is have a small wager. So I've suggested something almost worth my time, $500. So we would play a best of 5 and the winner would get $500 from the loser. To me that seems fair.
Now my opponent is a C-rank player with an MMR of around 1700-ish. Unfortunately he is unable to sponsor himself. Although I would like to play him for free, it really isn't worth the disrespect he shows me. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to sponsor Father for a show match. The well-known Indian sponsor Des is willing to put up $150 to help encourage the match.
Obviously I'll put up my $500 and if it's possible to put together $500 for Father then we can have the match. If you're interested in sponsoring Father please post in this thread.

i think it was really mean of him to accuse you of being a dodger and i'm sorry you had to experience that. it is often the case that young men, consumed as they are by their passions and ardor, end up being more than slightly careless with their words. the best we can do is to lead by example and hope that they follow closely behind us with their ripped muscular bodies

Dude you’re just ass-blasted that you got 2-1d by me. You even admit in your post that we agreed to a match and then you backed out because it wasn’t worth your time without money behind it. Apparently it was worth your time making this post sharing to the world that you got wrecked by a mediocre Terran player. I could dig up screenshots of two separate matches we agreed on that you backed out of. You’re a dodger, a boomer, and most importantly you’re ugly af please never post your face on the internet ever again you absolute troglodyte.

Please post the times and stream link when you have them ready. I love me a grudgematch. If you don`t make this happen now you are both filthy dodgers.

Well-known Indian benefactor Des here to say that the 2-1 was from a bo5 w/ $25 on the line (which father has collected due to linestine's refusal to continue the series) and that we went from a bo3 for 300 to a bo5 for 500 as it became clear that each proffered set of terms could potentially be accepted. Then we got a $150 bo5 for next Saturday (so linestine could practice against his C rank opponent), agreed on by all parties, with nyoken to be scouted for escrow/cast but that was deemed...not worth it or something? Not sure what the reasoning was but linestine almost immediately changed his mind and demanded 500.
If people would be interested in contributing to the 500 dollar stakes to sponsor father to see how much money linestine is willing to raise to to avoid having to play this, let me know! Surely the foreigner community would happily come together to sponsor such a delicious showmatch as this one.

If you want to send me $150 you can but this is between me and Father. You're too eager to sponsor one of my enemies. I want some real interest not just cash that means nothing to you.
edit: I'd probably up it to $1500 if you put up $500
edit2: I'll keep it at $500 if we get donors other than des. Or if Father contributes at least $150 of his own money.
Why's it gotta be this way?
Because this is where we hustle.

In true boomer fashion, he fucks right off anytime anyone or anything challenges his mindset.
In this case, Father not only wrecked his mindset, he wrecked his custom game score too.

Right on cue, all 165 points of linestine’s IQ come together to find a way to dodge when 500 becomes doable. He knows father can’t shell out 150 let alone 500 for a show match so he makes sure the terms can’t be accepted by someone who can in an effort to exploit the perceived inability of the foreign community to put 500 dollars together. Backed into a corner, he does what any scared animal, regardless of IQ, would do: he tries to make himself appear bigger and more threatening than he is in the hope that his bluff won’t be called. He’s smart enough to know there is no other out.
It would be an impressive display if it weren’t so spineless.

A gamble to win $150 isn't worth 10 hours of practice time.
|
How is it a gamble? You're not confident you can win?
|
YOU NEED 10 HOURS TO PRACTICE AGAINST SOMEONE 500 MMR BELOW YOU
ALL CAPS BECAUSE L M F A O
That's still $15 an hour for playing fuckin broodwar man. I think you're just a wuss.
