I think any reaction I could verbalize on these would just be a visceral reaction. I don't have a strong background in art, so my opinions would probably be garrulous and uninformed, not to mention largely devoid of any meaningful insight. If you want though, maybe I'll add a spoiler to each with why I picked each piece.

i don't think anyone should need a background in art to discuss it. just what does it mean to you? why do you like caravaggio more than other artists? i don't think you like him just because of his skill because there are probably many artists that can portray people just as well as he can, right? so what do you take away from seeing a painting by caravaggio that you don't from other artists?
edit: sorry for these obnoxious questions. but whenever i go to a museum, i'm like "okay...so what?" i'm just curious as to why people enjoy art/what it means to them/how people discuss it.
