Okay, here is the not so juicy story:
We decided to meet at a bus stop for a date, but when I arrived, she was not there. She was late. No big deal, I can wait. However, summers in Korea are crazy hot. The temperature hits 31+ Celsius. Actually, it feels hotter since Korea is very humid. So instead of waiting outside at the bus stop and getting all stinky before my date, I went across the street and into a pc bang. Pc bangs in Korea are like refrigerators. I told her I'd wait for her inside.
Then I saw a bunch of people playing remastered. I walked around just watching them. I knew I had little time but it was too tempting and I remembered my promise to do a report. So I paid a dollar to play for an hour.
I get in my first game and my girl arrives 5 minutes later. I think she was a bit shocked because I didn't notice her arrival, I was too into the game. But she has never seen BW, she doesn't understand that this shit happens to everyone. I wouldn't have noticed a volcano erupting.
Also, she knows I like games, but she has never seen me play. She thought I was good (I'm only D lol) since I was spamming, and it bothered her that I was good at a "game".
To get my attention she drops in a chair next to me and says in Korean, "What are you doing?!" I finally look up and laugh. I told her that I'd finish soon. We already killed two opponents, I was breaking down the last one.
She tells me to hurry up and starts complaining about how I am ignoring her and that I am not being a good boyfriend. Which is hilarious to me and kinda cute, so I joke with her and tell her that I am a secret pro gamer gosu and that this is my 2nd life that she never knew about. She actually believes me and tells me that she will wait outside!
I'm cracking up at this point but I gg and quit the game to follow her. I find her outside and she is staring daggers at me. But I know how to reach her heart. I take her to her favorite sushi place and she is happy again!
This is how I narrowly avoided the sensitive BW talk with my girl.

So I promised I would go to Korea and check out the PC Bangs and play some Remastered. There's not much to tell, since you've all seen players streaming by now. However, I'd like to tell you something that the streams truly do not capture.
When I first watched the Remastered GG tournament with Flash, Bisu, and Jaedong, I thought the game looked great, but I wasn't too impressed or blown away. I also watched the FPV vods of streamers once pre-release began in Korea. Blizz did a great job, but the graphics weren't eye popping to me. I was thinking, "I'm just going to play with the old graphics." How terribly wrong I was. Do not think this! Don't be like me!
I can honestly say that it's so different when you see the game and play for it yourselves. The game looks so goddamn sexy in real life.
If you made judgments from watching Remastered on twitch, I'd advise you to wait and play the game yourself, especially if you got a huge screen. In Korea, the PC Bangs have fucking huge monitors. Like head-turning-required monitors. You can't just move your eyes. Well, you can if you sit back real far.
When I first got into a game, I was immediately floored. Everything is crystal clear and extremely detailed. I can fucking see the slits for the SCV eyes! THEIR EYES! There's so much detail in the graphics that you cannot see when you watch via stream. The game doesn't feel zoomed out at all, and it is 100% Brood War.
Remastered has truly done BW justice, and I am hooked on the streamlined features that make it even more playable.

She left right after this, so I had to exit the game and chase her down even though I was winning my first Remastered BGH! Oh how my heart is torn!
