So guys, I've been in this room of mine doing poker like a madman for the past 2.5 years and I have to say I miss Starcraft. Getting first place on WGTour or iCCup and almost taking a game from Savior at Blizzcon were some of the most joyous moments of my youth and I will always be fond of everything Starcraft has given me.
I think what Starcraft has truly given me was falling in love with the feeling of improvement, which led me to never be content with who I am and always aim higher. I made a blog post planning to play more a few months ago and getting back in LotV but right around that period I started making (what I considered at the time) absurd amounts of money so I thought the best decision would be to keep doing what I was doing. This actually made me really happy again, not because I like buying expensive stuff and have a fancy life (if I end up spending 1.5k€ in a month I consider myself being extremely wasteful) but because, in my opinion, the feeling of improvement and surpassing the past self is a key component to being happy.
Anyway I can't wait for Starcraft remake. It's going to be awesome if everybody came back for a while. This game has done so much good for our life that I don't think many gamers, pros or casters will shy away from playing again. Imagine if we had Starcraft major tournaments and some tournament system similar to what Starcraft2 has. It would be the dream. I really hope something will happen. In the end we all know which is the best online game ever created ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I'm not going to hide it, I'm also posting because I want to shamelessly brag about my recent poker results. I know it would be graceful not to do so but I've been told I would fail by so many people (some were also friends, sad right?) that I just want them to see how wrong they were. I'm having a great poker year (prob gonna hit 100k€ profits between online and live), but I have been having the best results since I started hitting the 600€ and 1000€ tables. Fun thing is my win rate is definitely higher at these tables for a few factors. First off because there I get to play heads up a lot (one on one), which is my favorite format and the one that rewards hard work and studying the most. Then I am more conscious about the money I lose with bad plays and make way less mistakes. Taxes get also higher by a significant margin at lower tables. Lastly at 200€ and 400€ tables we often play without any bad players at the table so winrate naturally goes down a lot. I'm by no means the best poker player there is but I definitely aim to get better and contend the title with the poker endbosses in the future.

These are my results after I took an intense study break this summer and started shooting the 1k€ and playing heads up. Had a good run but all that study time definitely played a part into that. I need to focus on playing more hands because volume has been low, but other than volume this year my poker journey has been a great success. Suck it up haters, and <3 to everybody else

It definitely says something about Broodwar, former players being competitive and achieving things in other fields. Happy for you Enjoyed watching you play in the old days. Have never followed SC2 though.

<3 cloud, seeing you play in the BW Reunion Tour and having the enjoyment of casting those games to a big crowd was really great for me. Glad that you are doing well, gl & hf

Was thinking about you yesterday! Thanks for the update, always cool.

Bw was the best man. Can't forget the wgt/pgt days The golden era of foreign bw. BWCL WGTCL ICCupCL NWs .. it was a bless.

Were you the famous "ClouD" from Cloud vs Ring 12/3??
I have not seen a more famous Dark Archon. As I recall ClouD was Zerg and his Overlords were MC'd to vision lrukres.
Players suspected fixing.

nice earnings! Come and play some BW games when you need to take a break!

Glad you're doing well I was one of the naysayers but I'm glad to be proven wrong.

Awesome results. I never made it past lowstakes. That's pretty sick, and doubly so given how much tougher the game has gotten in the last decade.
If you want to play bw, join shield battery. A bunch of old nostalgia driven players are playing nightly. It's like the old, old days when you just chilled in op ToT) and played whoever.

nice to see that you are still around!

Very impressive! It always sounded like you were putting a lot of work into poker

I don't remember. I played ZvP instead of PvP in 2006-2007, but you are probably thinking about someone else

Sick, nice job man. You deserve it.

You were such a great bw player, would have never never doubted your poker potential just alone for this reason.

So much passion in Broodwar made it the best game.
So what site are you actually playing poker on? And do you use some extrenal tools?
