Did Stephano re-retire after NW?
I infer "have left" as it being their choice so I wouldn't include anyone that's been arrested/banned.

Yea, I chose this title for its impact and for the ingame reference "X has left the game!' even tho I knew it was a poor one. What does leaving the game mean? If that means a person who has announced his retirement from competition or stated his departure from the scene, then it only applies to a very few amount of people since almost nobody does that. It makes no sense to go by this rule. I meant to include all the top people that had a big influence on the game which is now over or very small in comparison to what it was in the past. A player like Stephano in my book belongs to this list, sure he is still part of the community since he goes to event, plays in competition but its nothing compared to the past. Same for DIMAGA or SeleCT who have been long gone and just recently started appearing again.

Just semantics "Left", "Retired", "no longer part of.." etc. (How would you have titled it in French?)
You made the list and did the work (I like the formatting/look).

some old schoolers in that list. x(

So many people have had very little to do with SC2 in the first place. So many people haven't really left. So many people had limited influence on the scene. I know you don't want people to take this serious, so I'm wondering what's the point of this list.

i think the biggest shift in SC2 occurred before the game came out when the mastermind behind Brood War was pulled off of SC2 in 2008. Rob Pardo is far and away the most influential force in the history of the Starcraft franchise. I'd put Pardo #1 on the list.
it was a move Blizzard had to make though; Pardo was moved from a game that makes millions onto a game that makes billions.

Genna Bain aka Intricacy needs to be on there. TB is on the list, but Genna was the one that actually did most of the Starcraft stuff while he was just the face and voice. She's essentially more influential than TB himself. Genna brought TB into casting SC2 and was the one with the idea to start Axiom, and I wouldn't be surprised if she's still involved with everything behind the scenes, giving Progamers advice on contracts and such.

MarineKing still plays....

Some of these people are still on a team, streaming or organizing events. What is your definition of "leaving SC2"?

Ummmmm quite a few of those people are still in the community and just aren't competing or are in the scene less frequently.
