ppd, a newcomer to the list, is the captain of Evil Geniuses. Shortly after winning TI5, EG decided to drop Aui_2000 and replace him with Arteezy, who you can check out below. ppd is known for his unique drafting strategies. He's one of the few top-tier players who uploads a mix of gameplay, guides, and behind-the-scenes videos on his YouTube channel.
Despite not streaming since December 7th, Arteezy generated enough channel views and new followers during the current period to lock down a top 5 spot. Since rejoining Evil Geniuses after TI5, Arteezy placed 5th-8th, 2nd, and 3rd before taking home gold at The Summit 4. EG won all of their bracket matches 2-1 and defeated Virtus.Pro in the final match of the best-of-five grand finals.
Like Arteezy, Dendi was able to snag a top 5 spot despite taking a break from streaming during the second half of December. In 2015 Dendi and his team, Na'Vi, have endured major roster upheaval and some disappointing tournament results. Here's to seeing a revitalized Dendi (and Na'Vi) in January!
JimBen only uploaded one YouTube video during this period, but he spent a lot of time and energy making it. According to a recent Facebook post, JimBen plans on making a video to explain why his YouTube activity has slowed. The best way to get your daily dose of JimBen is his Twitch stream; he usually streams five days a week and plays with his subscribers on Sundays.
Baumi's return to Twitch has helped him climb up the rankings. He's not yet generating as many channel views as the top streamers, but he's doing well considering he only returned a month ago. Baumi is the only creator in the top 5 who averaged more than one YouTube video a day during the past month.
Admiral Bulldog cut it close, but he and team Alliance were able to nail down their first major tournament win of 2015 on December 20th. They squeaked by the group stages of the World Cyber Arena tournament with a 1-1-1 record before catching fire during the bracket stages. They defeated LGD Gaming 3-2 in the grand finals and pocketed $350,000+ in prize money. Not a bad way to end the year!
