So i went to salle and started bugging him about a CS wiki.
Salle also wanted to go for a wiki, but he was worried a lot about the competition. We were looking into what the community thought, and after we teased a lot, this reddit post happened.

So salle went and talked to the existing CS wikis.
And if you all should know by now, things worked out and we now have a Counter-Strike wiki. Working with the KnifeRound people and with the ClanWiki people was a nice experience, and i wouldn't want to have missed the early stages of the Counter-Strike wiki. I met a lot of new people i hadn't known before, and having people from three different groups working on the Counter-Strike Liquipedia was a refreshing experience.
Setting up a new wiki is always a challenge, and including an existing wiki, or even two like in this case was a first for all of us (thank god MediaWiki has a usable API, we would've been helpless without bot usage). I've helped starting a Liquipedia before, but i haven't had any experience with what it needed to merge two wikis. At the start, all of us were rather nervous, and a good time actually passed by because we had no one to give us a direction, but at some point (mostly due to KnifeRound being down due to server issues), we got our shit together and actually made it work.
Merging KnifeRound and ClanWiki still isn't completely done yet, and we would love to get you to help out. If you are interested in helping with Liquipedia, be sure to join our chat. We will be sure to get you started, and every bit of help is appreciated.
A special shoutout should go to the people that helped most in setting up Liquipedias Counter-Strike wiki. This includes Vappy, RavenWhispers, tolkienfanatic, Omarion, shen, gonace, NovemberstOrm, ev0lv, Ricci, Swampflare, Miwi, Clubfan, Kaynie and Ragnarork, but also some other people i probably forgot T_T
It's been a pleasure to work with you guys on this, and i'm looking forward to a nice future for our Counter-Strike wiki.
