It is starting to get on my nerves. About a year ago or so, I had a stable party of four other people I played regularly with for about 2 and a half years. However, the group got bigger and people started inviting their best mates more (and plus other things such as real life obligations) and at the moment it is really tough for me to find spot with them, so I either play solo, or with 2 or 3 of my other friends irl. Only one of them is really good at Dota, and others aren't good. Besides, I also have to put up with people from all over the world and their idiotic gameplay, cursing and overall bad behaviour.
I used to play 3-4 games a day in past, now it is one maybe two at most because of this. I lost like 500 MMR due to this in about a year. The game is really not enjoyable for me at the moment. I really want a stable party of four friendly people who are decent at this game. They do not have to be pros or have 5k MMR (I myself have 3400) , just friendly and somewhat decent, at least people who are good at playing a role well and sticking to it. I myself feel better playing offlane, and with such a party I would be happy playing offlane most of the time and taking the other roles from time to time.
But right now, every game is a nightmare. There is no coordination within the team, no teamplay, no synergy and no goal. People pick whatever they want. A few days ago someone picked Medusa when we already had two cores, one of which had already went safelane. Every single game there is something that makes me frustrated, and then it's a 30min slog to get through it, sometimes more if I'm unlucky.
I really don't know what to do. I used to enjoy this game massively, but past year (especially the last 3 months which have been brutal) has been really tough on me, I still like this game but I feel like without a stable party it feels like a torture. I don't know if TL has a way to help me recruit people, but for the people reading the blog, I would be really happy if you can point me out to somewhere I can post/visit to find likeminded people to play Dota.

You shouldn't care too much about party mmr honestly. Well winning sure i can understand that
honestly the way i see it since you can't enjoy the game without buddies it's either you look for new buddies to play with or you take a break. No need to force yourself to play the game if you don't enjoy it as much .

There is less cancer in captain's mode. Much easier to get people to cooperate because they all want to play "real dota"

Yea, I'm not really sure how true that is. CM games usually result in flaming during the draft stage, gg.
You won't have any coordination, synergy or whatever in pubs anyway. Even if you get a stack of 5 people who want to play real dota and queue CM you will have shit games. That's just the way it is, there's a lot going on in a game of dota.
As for finding a party to play with, try r/dota2pubs, ingame channels, etc.

i know how you feel
2 years ago i was constantly playing with friends who are playing professionally currently or were near that level but didnt pursue tournament dota. pubs were fun because we could do pretty much anything and still win, and scrims were fun because even when we lost it would be because we got outplayed, rather than someone throwing or trolling.
after i moved back to my hometown i started playing with rl friends and the standard at which games were played dropped dramatically and shit got really boring. on top of that one of my friends has a pretty toxic attitude in game so now im at the stage where i havent touched dota since the last big patch.

There is no direct answer/solution besides building an another 5 man stack but even though you manage to do it, you will not gather the party every time you wanna play. Eventually you are stuck with real pubs with toxic/unaware/drunk/troll people in at least half(very optimistic) of your games. I don't enjoy playing Dota solo either majority of my games due to this issue, and hardly find another 4 people to share the same drive and same skill level with you.
Unless you push yourself into at least amateur level competitive environment(Starladder etc..), there is not much to do except trolling the game for yourself in more relaxed fashion.
