March is shaping up to be a pretty great, in fact most of 2015, at least the first half is going comparatively swimmingly to years past. Having moved from a job that I hated to my current position we are coming up on annual raises and next Monday, I have a meeting with the director of my department regarding an in role promotion, which of course means the first noticeable bump in my take home pay that I have ever really had. Having ground out the first few years out of college at a thankless job, at a faceless mega corporation, never having felt like I was going to make it anywhere in the company, it feels amazing to be poised to make some real forward progress.

Reporting back on the apartment, we got it. His brother came around, and we should be moving out of our current place and into the new place in mid-April. Our current land lord, is willing to let us out of our lease early meaning we can make the move sooner rather than later, and start enjoying the new place/get everything all set up.. We are just setting up the details with my will be land lord and we'll be squared away in no time.
Finally, both me and my girlfriend get to do a bit of travelling. She just got confirmed for a trade show in Las Vegas for five days, during dates which I will be in Asia. The only down shot is we don't get to travel together, and the month or so I will be out of town will be the longest we've been apart in five years, which is rather strange to think about.
I just got to keep my nose to the grind stone, and in another six months or so, I'll be set up for another promotion in my current role before likely changing departments. If you would have told me a year ago that things would look like this, I don't think I would have believe you.
