This was one that really resonated with my childhood though, as a middle kid in the family. Go read the comic below... Replace Metroid with Zelda however, I usually was trying to beat Blind.

That's me to a T (minus the FFFFF and plus a shovel in hand last panel). I am surprised how similar this is to my own experience, my older brother (and sisters!) would usually get the TV- sometimes even when I sat in wait. Same for the computer, and ironically it is probably because I (and Aeris!) wait on the spot that I got called away when I did; my desperation led to neglect of reality which led to more of an appearance of "addiction" which "starved" me more. A vicious little cycle!
However I did not cuss ever, I simply built patience (many other things bothered me in this fashion and I was already building patience because Jr. high) and that has been very useful in the wide world of adulthood.
Yes I write whiny blogs when I actually am not bothered by anything at the time.
