Lorning demands that The_Templar not 10 pool. Since Lorning is basically a protoss MVPMK, we know that he doesn't wall off, so he would easily die to a 10 pool. The_Templar readily agrees to this because he wasn't going to 10 pool anyway.
Lorning decides that it's a great idea to build a pylon at his third base. What could he be planning? Could it be the 1 base proxy gateway proxy cybernetics core proxy stargate proxy fleet beacon carrier rush build?
Reliable sources say no.
Meanwhile, The_Templar does a double extractor trick, because Lorning didn't say anything about overpool.
I fast forwarded through this part of the replay so the evidence of The_Templar agreeing to not 10 pool is still there.
Meanwhile, Lorning is going to build something next to his pylon at the third. But he's banking 200 minerals! Could it be a nexus??
Hey look, The_Templar has a prime number of minerals.
Finally, at 255 minerals, which is 2^8-1 because math, Lorning places down a forge.
Wait a second. The_Templar still has 173 minerals. What's going on here.
Wait, what?
DRONES!? In MY base? -Lorning
Lorning devises a plan to kill the drones. First, he will make them spin around the nexus so they get dizzy!
Unfortunately, one of the probes played computer games all day and was very uncoordinated, so he got left behind.
Lorning cancels his second pylon so he can get more money.
He then proceeds to make no probes.
Lorning brilliantly sends his probes back to mining, WHILE the drones are attacking. This is strategical genius because the only workers that are effective in combat are SCVs.
See! Not a single probe died while mining yet!
The_Templar is stunned by this amazing display of fantastic special tactics.
Lorning orders his probes to leave his base, all of which now belongs to The_Templar.
Once he's halfway to The_Templar's base, he splits off a probe and sends it east by caravan, to
Fortunately, The_Templar is looking at his main base and doesn't see the probe passing through the night.
Then, Lorning makes his brilliant plan known… by cannon rushing his third base!!
It's… beautiful...
The_Templar attempts to take the upper hand in the base trade by sending most of his drones back to his base.
That photon cannon though...
Actually, Lorning's strategy is not as incredibly
However, Lorning is chased off by an equal number of drones.
The_Templar finally sees the truth! Might as well leave the game right now.
As you can see, The_Templar is clearly stunned by his opponent's brilliance.
Meanwhile, Lorning focus fires one of 6 melee units with 7 melee units.
This is the equivalent of both players worker rushing at the start of the game now.
One of The_Templar's workers dies because it was out of position, and on low health.
However, since none of the probes in the previous picture are actually attacking, The_Templar is able to retaliate and kill one of the probes.
Why are probes so shiny when they die?
Both players back off in order to stabilize on their zero bases.
Better macro up some more probes… oh wait.
They do battle again!
The_Templar is surrounded! However, this is because Lorning is still focus firing one drone.
Another probe dies for THE TRUTH.
Two workers, 1 of each race, are chosen to participate in a compulsory annual televised death match called
Lorning runs away with his probes…
This leads the drones right into the cannons. Because The_Templar has something to do besides fight the only battle in the game while neither player has any economy at all.
Lorning has no base? Time for 4 workers to kill 8.
Both players micro, 3 drones vs 4 probes.
3>4
The_Templar utilizes a 12 drone rush to bring the score back to 2-3. But Lorning still has 2 match points and gets the map pick from now on.
This is a similar situation for The_Templar to his series against GumBa. Both times, going into game 5 down 1-3, The_Templar picked Steppes of War, won, and got the series up to 2-3. Can he complete the comeback this time?

This isn't the last time workers are pulled to attack stuff.
