I think all 3 of the logos aren't good enough yet, tbh. The second one is the only one that's easily scalable and remains recognizable, you def want more of a vector style than anything with too many textures/images. The problem with the 2nd one is that while it serves it's function, it's not so "memorable". It won't jump out as much in a line of boardgame designer logos since the pawn shape in itself is so standard. What about this: You let the pawn be slightly tilted to the side as if its tipping over, don't overdo the texturing, make it look a bit water/glasslike, but still have the water freezing over the edge going vertically down opposed to the diagonal pawn. The lack of symmetry would remove some of the visual clarity, but would make it stand out more. Just my 2 cents. I like all the other art though. Edit: Almost forgot. Congrats on getting married.

If there was one thing I would criticize it would be that the "A competitive drinking game of epic proportions" subheader in the banner sounds really cliche and cheesy to me. The term 'epic' is just so overused everywhere (often combo'd with 'proportions' as well) in terms of movies/frequent conversation if you have nerdy friends/games and whenever I read it anywhere I'm just like "oh really, you don't say?..." I definitely like the designation as a competitive drinking game because that's definitely an eye catcher, but yeah. I don't know what would be better, but just my 2 cents. gl with your wife's visa!

As for the logos I think I like the 3rd most. Definitely not the 1st as it seems too cluttered, it removes a lot from the "pawn" idea and is really distracting. The "forms" (I have no idea what they're called) surrounding the pawn make the logo more generic. I like the 3rd logo's idea of having icy pikes hanging from the edges, to give the idea of "frozen", and the outline works better to give the logo a recognisable shape than the color scheme of the 2nd one. On the other hand, it's true that it may be more easily "lost" if you put it amongst other stuff, especially as a logo. Maybe a background, more discreet than on the 2nd one so that the pawn itself remains the focal point, behind it to give it a bigger "shape" (like the rectangle) would help? So you're planning on around 2015 for production... I guess I could just look at the list of your blogs and the dates for this, but for perspective, how long have you been working on this project? Must have been almost 2 years or something already?

We have a working alpha version that is completely functional right now.

Personally I settled on this (yeah yeah, I went with the name but I just really like how it sounds and rolls of the tongue with the double L going on, thought about it for several months but kept coming back to it ). These are old concept versions as you can see in the typo in the concept but it's the concept that counts: As for your bank/account story. I had the exact same thing. Been with a bank my whole life but opening a business account with a nightmare so I went to the one around the corner after two weeks of bullshit and got it done in 30 min like you said. Kinda sucks but ah well. Coag still being a boss on art <3. And I dunno if you checked your last blog after your last post but you had a question in it and I'll just quote my answer below. Absolutely splendid job Chill and that artwork is the shit from Coag, really well done. Got me hyped! Really glad to see this is still going since it's been a fun project from the start. With regards to your legal question, I'd simply add on a box the age it's ment to be played from and slap on a disclaimer (on the box, not inside of it). You can always instruct retailers/yourself to not sell to people under the legal drinking age. Plus inside of the box you might add a folder which explain the hazards of drinking/instructs in responsible drinking. This way you'd a) make it very clear what the intended audience is, b) disclaim possible damages (be careful if you ship to other countries that this might not be possible to disclaim/different legal drinking ages), c) age restrictions on selling/retailing is prudent and shows consideration and dilligence on your part, d) adding a folder might be super over the top but it's a great final step to show that you are aware of the dangers and have warned the users by any reasonable means at your disposal. Offcourse I'd add another folder on how to mix some awesome special mana drinks (potions/elixers) for this game! :D With a conversion chart offcourse, say 4 drinks (beer ounces wise) can be replaced by one drink: demonblood elixer (create some crazy mix drink). Fun stuff to add some spice to the "drinks" aspect of the game! edit: I really like the name the more I see it. Original, clean and easily recognisable. Now you need that in your logo!

Honestly, if you are using this for a logo like one that will go on cards, webpages, etc. just going for #3 seems best since it needs to be relatively small without messing up its graphics. Instead maybe use #1 for something else like something people click on in emails to go to your site since that being attractive should make people more enticed to see what its about. Good luck Chill!
