A few days ago I finally took the plunge and upgrade to iOS 7 on my phone. I figured that it's been months since iOS 7 first came out, most of the bugs should have been fixed. So I upgraded and now:
>I immediately regret my decision
Reason? The music player app. For some reason the folks at Apple thought it would be a good idea to a) add album art to every playlist, so that you can only see 4 playlists/songs on the screen at a time and b) remove the feature that allowed you to view the complete song name when you pressed down on a song. So now all of my songs have effectively turned into undecidable problems such as "Piano Sonata No....", "Piano Concerto No....", or "Prelude and Fugue..." etc. I have no idea who is doing the software development at Apple but he/she needs to take
So my question is, does anybody know any good alternative freeware apps for playing music? It doesn't need to have any bells and whistles. In fact I would actually prefer it to be as lightweight as possible, something like foobar2000 for example. It really just needs to have 2 features:
1. Plays preconfigured playlists (I do all my playlist configuration in iTunes)
2. Has some way of viewing the full name of a song
If worst comes to worst I will probably just downgrade back to iOS 6. But since downgrading an entire OS just for one app is nonideal (and I bet the folks at Apple will have done their best to make downgrading as difficult as possible), I'd be eternally grateful if somebody has a good app recommendation.
Cheers!
