I'm not blaming the security guard, I'm just pointing out that we have a systemic problem where we do awful shit and hold awful opinions due to norms and rules. In come cases it's a professional obligation like in this case, but sometimes it's just the fact that we generally think of homeless people as subhumans or whatever.
It's a shame that people have this whole "not my problem" outlook but I guess I understand. I just wish people didn't denigrate those of us who choose to make it their problem and choose to try to make a difference.
