Nothing more to say, no more ace to play.
The winner takes it all,
The loser standing small beside the victory, that's her destiny."
The grand final of the International Dota 2 Championship... what a final that was. There so much we can say about strategy, tactics, farm, push, teamfights, Roshans, picks, bans, Io, etc, etc.
But after seeing the match 5 between Na'Vi and Alliance, this song came to my mind immediality when I was thinking about Na'Vi performance during the final. I liked it, they really played well being both creative, solid, and most important, entertaining. But in the end the winner takes it all...
The winner takes it all, the loser has to fall,
It's simple and it's plain, why should I complain.
Alliance never took their eyes away form the Aegis of the Champions, they stayed focused and they saw the chance to damage Na'Vi when the yellow guys where just in the front of their base, with a farmed Alch and a outsanting Dendi, there was too low chances to beat them in a 5v5. They had to win by not fighting Na'Vi directly, by forgetting about she show, the crow, the glory... just having the cold victory in mid.
I'm a TeamLiquid fan for an obvious reason: I love this website, I open it every day in the morning as soon as I arrive to the office to read the news, the blogs, the articles, etc etc etc. And because of that I'm a TL fan for SC2 players as the TL Dota 2 squad. But I feel like a need to stand and congratulate Na'Vi for the show they gave us in the International... there were players and plays that are memorable, but in general, Na'Vi matches were by far the most entertaining ones.
But well, the champions is Alliance and this just makes me so excited for the next International!! and we're a full year far from it!!!! ><
Cya!
