it seems I do a new entry every 3-4 years! lol
I have a huge crush on this girl. I'm 24 and she's 25.
We only meet a week every year, when we go as volunteer helpers to this awesome charity camp for poor kids.
She skipped last year for some reason, and I had to skip the first 3 days of the thing this year. 3 days together in the last 2 years, That's not a lot. We weren't even in the same group, but we could talk and drink at night (we have this small circle of people, who drink/talk/have fun together every night in the camp, so it wasn't just the two of us).
The camp ended at 7th of July.
I haven't really made a move previously. 4 years ago, at the first few days I wanted to, then I asked around, and it turned out she has had a boyfriend for 6 years then. Also I lived in the capital, while she lived in a smaller town. I was clueless what to do, but she must have known that I was really attracted to her.
This year it turned out she broke up with her boyfriend, it was some 9 year long relationship or whatever, she started a new BA in the capital, and I'm also single at the moment.. Now or never, right?
I got her phone number. She works as a lifeguard at lake Balaton in the summer (it's a huge ass lake, everyone goes there to vacation in the country), and we agreed to meet there. I will meet her in the next two weeks.
This will be spectacular, either way. I'm preparing the popcorn.

When I look at the sidebar and see "girl blog," it fills my heart with joy. Especially after a week or two absence of girl blogs. I think I've read >95% of all the TL girl blogs in the last year.

Yeah, I read that thread too now, but it still doesn't measure up to the pure entertainment value of the famed TL girlblogs. I'm not sure that the numbers really went down, they just tend to come in bursts of 2-3 usually, and are pretty seasonally dependent too.
Anyway, good luck meeting this girl, and make sure you update after you do

Partly that but they also come in waves. When a few pop up it gives courage to more people to start posting theirs.

Surprisingly nice story. Usually girl blogs end up asking TL how to deal with their problems but it sounds like you've got this all planned out and just wanted to share with us a nice story.

How long has she been single? Does she still deal with/communicate with her ex?
Word of warning, but entering into anything after someone has spent so much of their life attached to someone else is a huge undertaking. Even if you're the second, third, or fourth person to come between her and her ex, there's an enormous amount of baggage and history that isn't easily erased, especially if she hasn't taken optimal steps to get over the past in a meaningful way.
