Somehow I've posted more in the past year of not following SC2 than I did in a year of LRing, though. Woo 5k.
The time I met T-ara
I got back from Illinois a few weeks ago (I live in SoCal) and via the love of KMD I learned about a T-ara fanmeet in LA the day before it happens. Obviously I went because T-ara is my favorite group and fuck it its like a 45 min drive. I knew they were in LA for stupid reasons but the fanmeet made up for all of it.

Advertisement for the fanmeet.
It was supposed to start at 3:30 PM but they didn't actually get there until almost 5. Thankfully me and my friend decided it'd be a good idea to stay up till 4AM and we didn't actually get going until 2:30. If you know LA traffic, leaving the OC at 2:30 means you get there after forever. We parked in an open lot nearby, said "YOLO" before parking, and went on over.

The line and the free cards they gave out. Even the professionalism of the cards looked like shit, honestly. -_-.
So we got there around 4, they weren't even there, and got to stand in line for a while. Actually even though they got there at 5 they stayed inside to promote for an hour. The place is called Vlado footwear, and it's some brand of shoes that hip hop artists on the east coats wear. Apparently. The shoes were pretty bad, with a lot of overbranding and obviously copied styles but whatever. Honestly the worst part is that the place is kinda shady. It's downtown LA, so I mean... come on man
Anyway blah blah wait an hour, get this close, get my cards signed, leave. This is the most exciting part but for some reason it was kinda... Meh. They didn't let us take 1 on 1 pictures, which made sense because there was a good amount of people (easily 100+ even though they only promoted it the day before) but honestly meeting them changed how I think of idols.
I don't wanna obsess over them anymore. They're real people and I want to treat them like I would any other person (with a talent!). I tried to be pretty respectful and stuff so I didn't actually sound very excited (though my voice was higher than it normally is, lol). I just said thank you and asked to shake their hands, lol. Weak I know but there were people joking about "Marry me Eunjung" and stuff and I realized that while it sounds funny at first, online... In real life it's just kinda weird.

Probably the best picture I got, lol. They're a lot smaller in real life.

Here's the signed cards. One to me, one to TL! I'm sending it off to unichan when I get the chance. Clearly I'm a lazy fuck because it's been 3 weeks since the fanmeet and I'm just writing it up lol.
I have a video as well, of me getting the signatures but I won't post it because uploading UGH.
Anyway the important part here is that that open lot wasn't quite an open lot. Since we got back to the car at 8PM, after most stores closed....
Our car was locked inside the lot.
I'll let that sink in.
First we thought we'd just stay the night at a motel or something and spend an extra $30 each and pick it up in the morning. NOPE. DOWNTOWN LA (near USC) = no vacancies. We ended up calling someone to pick us up, going back home, and having someone drive us back to our car to drive home. -_-.
Never say "YOLO." Even ironically. Lesson learned.

The exception is unless I'm referring to my sc2 clan, YoIo.
MASTERS 4v4
I managed to get to masters 4v4. I bought HotS because before I stopped playing games and following SC2 after the school year. Since I have all the time in the summer, I thought it'd be a good idea to play again. Team games with a friend is the best part of sc2 and I wanted to keep playing. So like 40 4v4s later I'm masters in 4v4.
I got back to Plat as Protoss again, but that's not really that important. My peak was probably November when I was playing masters players as Diamond in WoL. Whatever.
Masters 4v4. There's silvers and gold 1v1s in masters 4v4.
I'm 100% when making 150+ drones after 3hatching in masters 4v4.
I often only make widow mines en masse in masters 4v4.
Master's 4v4 is a lot of fun.
Writing
I used to blog a lot in 2012. Between a few different platforms depending on the content (a tumblr for friends, a personal journal on my PC for personal things, TL) I wrote about my life and stuff. I also stopped that during college because I resolved to stop my OCD of preserving everything about life and just fucking live it. Instead, I wanted to record through people.
Now that I'm in summer mode and I don't really live with people to talk to every day (family aside), I want to try to start writing again.
I have commitment issues or something because I can't commit to projects very well. The link in my signature is a blog where I write about music, yet I haven't posted since December, and I haven't created new content since October. It's fucking June.
My friend suggested that I write a poem every day (because she's taking a poetry class and gets to read people's shitty poems). I like the idea. It's short, not binding, doesn't take too long. Good idea.
Now I'm not very good but if in a month I produce 1 thing that's not awful I'm a happy person.
The only problem I have is that poems (at least for me) are meant to be a process. You have an idea and pen it down, get a draft, and keep working on it until no word is out of place. The process is fantastic for my mind because I love that kind of thing but there's a time commitment that I don't want to have. It's okay though, I'm having fun with it. If I come up with anything great I'll post it, but 5 days in, nothing's worth it yet lol.
I could probably do with some tips though but I'd rather go through the experience of learning the process.
Thanks for reading. ^_^
