I've recently developed this weird irrational hatred for users who end their posts with their nicknames. I don't even understand it. It's like me and my intuition having a conversation:
Intuition: hey, see that guy with his nickname at the end of the post? Hate him. Me: but... why?? He hasn't done anything wrong (or so it seems). Intuition: shut up and trust me Me: ok, if you say so...
So can anyone explain it to me? In case you've forgotten how it feels like, here we go:
For some reason, I hate you right this very moment.
Also, I think it's less required these days, except for work/formal electronic exchanges. In a forum it's totally silly. I think the last time I did it on a normal basis I was using 2400 kbps modems to connect to Renegade system BBSes.

not a bad idea
Edit: lol I can just imagine signing EVERY post with this.
I say we take this to a whole new level. We can sign our names after we link a picture of our user name. OT: I really do hate people who have to sign their name after every post. Like, just in case you didn't know who wrote it ima remind you.

i hate it too, there's no reason to sign your post when your nick name starts the post
I used to hate both this and people who would post as like NicknameSC or NicknameSC2. Like I get it if you're a streamer or something so it's a brand thing but more often than not it's some Plat dude hyping themselves up or some shit.

Maybe all we are is just A.I.s in a database and we're just dreaming we have a real life. In that case a picture of us in real life would BE our forum names.
Maybe you where not there back then but it is generally good mannered when you wrote letters to sign them at the end with your name or nickname, because unlike here the letter itself did not say who is writing. It is just a conventional thing, its not that people are trying to highight themselves.
It's only a good thing if you sk8. The only thing worse is people who don't use spaces properly when it comes to punctuation marks . Makes everything look dumb , don't you agree ?
(Fuck, my ID is older than that thing, can I get royalties?)
You know, I actually kind of agree with the original post, except instead of "hate", I'm just irritated when people write a signature in their post. I mean, first of all, you already have a signature, you know, the one below all your posts? Second of all, is it really necessary to be that formal? Think about it - I believe it's good to be polite, but being overly-formal comes off as pretentious and, in some cases, condescending. I think that defeats the purpose of being polite, which is to be respectful of people.

And this is one of the reason why I don't like Korean websites, with almost every frigging thread ending up with obnoxious images (actually that applies to many English forums too).
I'm iMAniaC and I write: But to all of you claiming that there's no need to add the username at the end because it's already possible to add a signature, I agree with the guy who said that people do not really notice the signature.
I'm iMAniaC and I continue to write: However, that could easily be said about the nick on top of the post, too; no one notices those unless they have a fancy icon or another colour or something like that.
I'm iMAniaC and I write even more: So to be absolutely sure people notice your username, it's only logical to include it in the post itself, so there won't be any misunderstanding about who has actually written the post.
I don't sign my name at the end of my posts because it's already displayed at the top and I assume everyone can remember it by the time they finish my post

Lol this reminds me of design forums. Since it was for people who are learning design, they didn't put a limit on the signature size, so you would see people with a whole fucking screen worth of photoshop signatures
