Don't have much of anything interesting to say today other than to remember that in StarStation, the map now only allows cross spawn locations. Very useful if you plan to... oh, I don't know, 7 pool.

The Game
Early Game
+ Show Spoiler +
Players spawning in the map StarStation, a PvZ match up! This map up has been becoming a little bit easier for me as I've started re-learning my FFE into voidray style. Very useful against the popular zerg end-game at the moment, and whenever I can help it I tend to try to go for the late game. So in this game, we start out with a full out rush from our zergy enemy.
The only thing less douchey than a 6pool.
That's right folks, a 7 pool from our zerg! What a douche, trying to get in some free damage! But Phalanx won't have any of that. Phalanx, whom is referred to in third person by himself, scouts the 7pool in time. Phalanx then erects a wall at his front, cutting all probe production until it is complete.
7pool can suck my wall.
The lings try to get in... but of course they're thwarted easily. <3 Photon cannons.
10 points to Gryffindor.
The most damage the 7pool did to me was delaying the creation of my expansion (which still was created earlier than his)... a total waste of early rush. At this point I think it's fair to say that any competent protoss player probably can already call the game a win, as long as they don't let the zerg rebuild their economy up. I fully expected to have a tech and economic advantage early, so I decided to go balls to the walls with my voidray production.
Plopping down stargate, 1 pixel at a time.
Mid/End Game
+ Show Spoiler +
During the mid game I tried to micro and harass with voidrays as much as possible. It reminded me of simpler times, when I used to be able to beat terrible zergs by hiding 4 voidrays and attacking all at once. A voidray, by the way, is capable of beating a queen 1 vs 1.
Fuck this area in particular.
The zerg at this point is pretty far behind on supply as well as tech, although he does drop down his hydralisk den to try to combat my voidrays.
BUT GUESS WHAT MY VOIDRAYS CAME ACROSS!!!
Cancellation within an ecstasy of blood.
Aw yiss, I caught his hydralisk den building! I felt pretty proud of that pick up. As he tried to rebuild it right away, I even managed to pick the 2nd one off (no cancel this time).
My production continues to soar as I keep bashing my finger against that V-key to build voidrays. Voidrays have always been notorious for their power in large numbers, and that's no exception in the early game. about 5 voidrays can burn down queens and spore crawlers pretty fast, especially with their activated ability.
I'm so pretty, taking a blue shower!
The game's now pretty much been won. To nail the... nails? into his coffin? or some phrase that goes like that, I kill off his spawning pool and throw down my 3rd base uncontested.
Mohr blood!
I don't actually have anything more interesting to say about the rest of the game; it's voidrays microing to kill stuff. Instead, I'll just shower you good people with some pictures. :3
Accompanied by a message from [NACSC]Haru.
And so yet another game passes by! Oh the magic of sc2. It's so frustrating to me how I still haven't reached masters... I just feel like I'm on the threshold of masters but I can't quite reach it. And because I'm frustrated I don't ladder as much
Thanks for reading as usual, hope to see you again tomorrow, and have a GGreat day!
