Hello guys, my first post got a lot more reception than I had originally anticipated, taking Pokebunny's advice to heart, this will be the first post with actual meaning to it. One of my all time favorite players has to be MVP.DongRaeGu and I felt it obligatory to devote my first real post to him. I rememeber seeing DRG first at MLG Raleigh 2011, (I had missed out on all but the losers and championship finals of Anaheim 2011, mere months beforehand) I remember how he had captivated me with his immense macro and ability, oh yea and when he managed to max by the 12 minute mark (yes there was a time when that seemed impossible, Stephano has not always made all other zergs look weak in comparison dear newbies). That was when the GSL-MLG program was still in effect, allowing koreans direct seeds into MLG and giving the winner of MLG code S status. Unfortunatly for the once "greatest zerg in the world" (Tastosis, Cricketer) things have changed, and dramatically so. From being an MLG 2 time victor, GSL champion, potential NesTea award winner and Team League king to being knocked down into code A. Speaking of which, will there be a Korean challenger league now that OSL hosts season 2? Anyway, I digress. But yeah, going back to my praise, few are aware that DRG's dominace began in team league where he took a somewhat underdog MVP and turned them into GSTL champions. He was there ace and soon after, became captain of the team. He would continually do well in tournaments but with no victories in major tournaments. Then came January in the GSL 2012. A 4-2 victory vs teammate Genius in the GSL finals proved more than anything of DRG's dominance. He would go to MLG Winter Arena 2012 next. Get upset by ST.PartinG in Round 2, but fight his way through the losers bracket, get his revenge on Parting despite a 1-3 defecit and would make it to the losers finals to face HuK (another favorite), a crushing 2-0 win catapulted him to the finals vs MarineKingPrime. Sadly, DRG lost 2-4 and the win went to MKP. At the MLG Winter Championships he would lose to MKP in the finals 5-2, yet still be praised as the greatest zerg. He would then go to MLG Spring Arena and defeat MKP 4-3. At MLG Spring Championships he would defeat Alicia 3-1. AT GSL 3 2012 he would make it to the semifinals vs MC. And that is where is downfall began. He lsot the semis 0-3, would lose 2 team league matches in a row as ace vs Leenock and HerO. DRG continued to lose tournaments and in WCS Korea, lost in losers round 1, a terrible loss. Now he lost his chance at the NesTea award....... Hopefully he will come back to greatness At least I can say I won a mousepad signed by him Cricketer

While I can sympathize with your frustration at the lack of feedback (it's human), I can understand why that is. An epic title like that ("The Fall of a Legend") warrants equally epic content imo, and to be honest, your blog/article doesn't live up to that. You certainly made an effort, but in the end its just you listing some results and then proclaiming the "downfall" of DRG (Like "then he won, then he lost, then he won again, then DOWNFALL, everything is lost etc." you get the idea.
Popular blogs usually are either very insightful/informative and/or eloquently written/entertaining. Yours is neither, hence the lack of responses so far.
But hey, I find it very admirable that you try and you can only get better, Keep it up and I'm sure you'll end up in featured blogs eventually
Just like in SC2 you need practice in order to get better, so maybe look what other bloggers are doing better and implement it in your next blog. GL HF

How many blogs have you responded to? Would you respond to this blog?

If you had nicer formatting (paragraphs are the best thing since full stops) and maybe some pictures, I'm sure this would be much more enjoyable to read. As is however, I kind of just glazed over partway through :/

don't think he lost the chance for nestea reward according to some tweets. but yea, he has been playing subpar and really is at the lowest of his career now, his games are having all sorts of problems and once in a while his flashes of brilliance shows but follows by another crucial mistakes. it's not that his loss is making me sad but the way he is playing right now feels very weak and no confidence into the game with mistakes that a player of his level shouldn't make. oh well. still believe in him though, i like him playing and losing is frustrating to watch but it's better to see him try than just give up
