New Streaming Rig Build

So come end of May I'm looking at buying a new desktop with the intention of streaming, and editing videos (StarCraft/Call Of Duty), with a price range up to $1,000 USD.
Needs:
High capacity multitasking (8-16GB RAM)
High graphics capability
Good streaming processor (heard i5 is better at handling streaming than i7?)
Good air-flow as I don't really get much air conditioning in my room
Large capacity HDD (1-2TB)
And personally I feel like buying an old copy of Windows XP would almost be better than spend $120 on Win7.
Any thoughts, comments, or links would be great. Thanks!

I'm building a similar computer right now, my price range is slightly higher at 1.5k, but that is because I want a great computer for all of college and at least some of grad school + life stuff. Though I'm going more for processing power for multitasking and 3-d modelling / computer art, rather than streaming and gaming, I'm sure our builds will have similar features. I wish you the best of luck, I wish I had good advice, though checking out this link could be helpful, it helped me
