jesus dude grow a pair of fucking nuts. either play the game(ITS IS A GAME REMEMBER THAT) or find some other game. I dont know what league you are, but if you cant consistently get to high level of master you need to chill. If it was going to happen it wouldve happened in 2 years. Some people can, some people cant me and my friend started playing at same time and hes actually played more than me but I hit GM/high master every season, hes still in plat.(he has same mindset as you) coincidence? It sounds like you need to get out more relax and (possibly) get a girlfriend. Also the gym thing sounds like a good idea with the diabetes and all. I go to school full time, work, have a gf, workout and play SC2 at a GM level(though hard to reach GM for me since I have so much to do, cant get the required games in) So if I can do it, so can you. but change your mindset. learn to lose, then youll learn to win. Thats what I did

Thats what I did Of course I can do it, you still on school remember? Profesionally I do fine, as a matter of fact I'm doing really good. I work on my carreer where the pay is kinda low, but very regarding and challenging. But in the game, all my efforts are showing nothing and that frustrates me greatly. I also have to exercise, not because I wanna bang some chick, but because I have diabetes, so this isn't to please my ego or anything like that. I also have a gf which has a career too. So anything you are telling me to get... I have it already. Like I said, in this game, you expend resources (like all of us do) but it doesn't show sometimes, and I wouldn't mind having an option after working a whole day and fixing problems in the real world, to stop reading "gl hf"... Believe it or not, but sometimes, you don't wanna talk to strangers... for some weird reason. BTW, I'm amazed you think university has a direct link with sc2 in my life. Both are very different things. As you can see I'm only complaining on an option of a game, not on my working field. That's going very very well. I just need SC2 to get mad so I won't get mad with people in real life. I thought I was clear on that.

Thanks for the link. Today I learned something new. It's not depression what I have (I used to) but I think its tiredness. I work in a enviroment that requires to speak 3 hours at groups of people and providing solutions for like another 4 hours and that is really exhausting when I get home. I just want to release stress without the hassle of chatting.

And you know how that is. And I agree with your opinion. An excess of alcohol messes with the brain, so why shouldn't be the same with an excess of glucosa?.

Dude, if you don't want to heed the obvious advice which has been stated earlier in the thread (i.e. uninstall the game), it may be best to not play on work days. SC2 is a demanding and exhausting game. Why play it after regular work days where you are just tired? If you want to play a game after work, play something else, or play SC2 team games and have fun. And if you really want to release stress, get some high intensity exercise in. Join a boxing fitness group, play squash, or something similar, but don't sit down in front of a monitor for hours. SC2 multiplayer is not a good way to release stress, unwind, and have fun. Keep your serious SC2 gaming to the weekends where you are in a better frame of mind. I am not sure if you are happy in your work, either, but a lot of people aren't and get by regardless - so that's neither here nor there. Oh, and good luck, good gaming, have fun!

When I started playing 1v1s, I got to masters fairly quickly (about 3 game play days), and I eagerly looked forward to every loss. I didn't start playing expecting myself to have perfect godlike mechanics, where every loss is caused by the opponent doing stupid shit. Instead I started playing, knowing that every aspect of my play is flawed, and each loss is simply a pointer towards the areas that I was weak in. Anyways, I hope everyone who reads this will find it insightful, and perhaps see this game from a different mentality.

I write this everygame, although I write gg hf; because let's be honest, I don't want me opponent having good luck. I do however want him to play well (the gg part) and enjoy it (the hf part). I mean it everygame I write. Not sure what you are referring about with the hypocrisy part. ? No idea what you are talking about here. Losing = stressful? Huh? Since when does it matter whether or not you win. If you played poorly and lost, then it would make sense to be irritated at yourself, but if I play poorly and win I'm equally as annoyed as if I played poorly and won. If I played great and lost, I'm not stressed either because I did the best I could and now have things I can look at in the replay to see why, even playing well, I lost. You can't control whether or not you win or lose, only how you play. It makes absolutely no sense to get frustrated or mad because you are winning or losing. Well aren't you a paragon of tryhard gaming. It makes no sense to get frustrated or mad about winning or losing? It makes no sense to make stuck-up condescending posts bashing people for how they feel. Progamers can get very emotional when they win or lose. They don't ignore stress, they use it to fuel their desire to win. It's unbecoming to have some C- hotshot showing other players the path to nirvana.

I just need SC2 to get mad so I won't get mad with people in real life. I thought I was clear on that. Are you OCD? Is it really that hard to just ignore the "GL HF" and to not chat? You say it makes you mad and that you play Starcraft to get out the angry inside of you; I'm going to highly recommend you see a psychiatrist. You sound like quite an unstable personality and the fact that your everyday life builds up this kind of rage inside you, and that you feel the need to release this rage(yet you don't want to chat, you seem to contradict yourself. how do you rage if you don't type anything you just shout at the scren?), is probably not healthy at all. Honestly reading your rant I feel scared for whoever has to work with you as you seem like the kind of guy who one day says he has enough and slaughters his gf and co-workers. Also why the hell do you "invest resources" in this game and expect to get better randomly? Seeing how mad you get about GL HF, your probably the kind of guy who rage-quits about balance whenever you lose rather then accepting that you messed up. Playing 4-5 games a day won't get you any better unless you have a great mindset. In all honesty, take a breath, go smoke some pot, chill out, and if you still don't like SC, quit and play a game like CoD where you can mindlessly let out your aggression and feel like your getting "better" every game.

Let's see what we can do. Let's examine the options that would potentially alleviate you from all this frustration. 1. Get better at the game 2. Uninstall the game 3. Pinpoint what frustrates you and learn to feel pleasure from it, or feel nothing that works too Number 1 is pretty straight forward, usually people who have their head on completely straight will naturally gravitate towards that option. Number 2 is more for people who have their priorities really straight, OP has a job and pussy already, but still plays so maybe his priorities need tweaking (a friend a mine is paid well and has sex friends, he straight up quit the game, that is a man of priorities). Number 3 is what most of us gun for I think. We love the game, yet it frustrates us to play it. Those who want to stick to the game without suffering need to figure themselves out, not figure the game out. I hope listing those options wasn't snarky, it's just easier to read imo.
