Razer Orbweaver ?

I have for years used a N52 aka Nostromo pad, for gaming. I really tried to make it work when SC2 came out but because the N52 only has 3 rows of keys, it worked great for grid layout but was unable to hit control groups fast enough to really use it efficiently so I went back to my black widow keyboard.

Now that the Razer Orbweaver is out I am trying it and I have to say I really enjoy it. Not only does it have 4 rows or keys like a keyboard, they are all mechanical and so far I have had superb results.

I was just wondering if anyone else has tried the orbweaver yet and if so, what key setup do you use?

I originally got it for WoW. But I play FPS games with it to. Now SC2, I am currently masters so I want to practice with it a bit more before starting to ladder with it, but I can't imagine using a keyboard again after using this.

This appears to be a Mechanical keyboard guide. I am actually interested in custom key setups for the Razer Orbweaver, which is a mechanical keypad, not keyboard. Very expensive, but very very awesome for SC2 as well as WOW and other games.

I can't believe no one else has tried this. I been trying out a grid setup for the most part and using the mechanical direction joystic with my thumb to move the screen when needed. I use my two side mouse buttons also to set and add to control groups and set cameras and so far I have had great sucess and much better apm.

I am still very interested to know if anyone else uses this and what key setups they have tried that might be better. Thanks.

Hey, I am researching to buy a keypad also to replace my keyboard for RTS. I use a razer naga mouse and enjoy having the numpads with the touch of my thumb. I feel that the keypad would make everything so much faster and easier to set cameras. I am also in master league, but I feel like this would be the next step up as far as apm goes. Lancerx, do you mind sending me your skype or sc2 game name so that way I could discuss this topic with you?
