[Art] Lovecraft, DotA and rediscovering sketching

Lovecraft Hi all, So last week I arrived home tired, after a long trip to Rome, turned on my computer and for the first time in over a week opened Photoshop to do some digital artwork. A notification popped up to tell me my graphics card's drivers were out of date, so I momentarily paused to update them, a process that crashed to the dreaded blue-screen-of-death leaving me with a completely unusable desktop computer. I'm happy to say though that during my time in Rome I'd rediscovered the fun of pencil sketching, so I wasn't going cold turkey through this enforced art-break, though it does mean all my art in this entry is poorly photographed from a notebook I bought from the most charming old stationary shop I found down a side-street in Rome. These are a selection of my random sketches. H.P. Lovecraft, looking less scary I went through a bit of a DotA streak, mostly because there are some amazing artists working on DotA, which is always inspiring. Windrunner Drow Ranger, with her face markings because they are fun to draw Gabe Newell, founder of Valve (secretly pencilled in as the next big DotA hero, like a less hairy Tusk) My computer is fixed now, but I think I'll be doing a lot more sketches, I'd forgotten the fun of doodling Obligatory random girl sketch An attempt at Molly Ringwald

UltimateHurl Ireland591 Posts February 18 2013 23:21 GMT #4 I've been thinking of trying a full body Windrunner, will be sure to include the piercing I'm having fun progressing, I think I challenged myself with some strong-jawed women to try and learn faster.
