Things were a bit exaggerated in the story, not going to lie, but looking back at it now, it was pretty funny. And that story was written for humor purposes.
Anyway, recently I met up with Jamie again, and we had a good talk, after not talking for a while. I mean I talked to her over the internet and all that, but we hadn't talked in person for a while. When I was visiting from college, I asked if she wanted to hang out, to which she agreed. I biked over to her house [because I actually didn't get my license at all until two weeks ago...] and we went for a walk to my old high school first of all, and we walked through all of the places that we used to hang out and stuff, and we both felt very nostalgic. So many things had changed. I'd moved on, and settled down, she'd moved on and found herself a man, and we were just the good friends that we were before any of the stupid drama began.
Anyway, after visiting the school, we went to the park, where we walked around, admiring the children running around, playing, just smiling and beaming, talk about life, our futures, our ambitions, all the things that we wanted to do.
We basically spent the whole day together; from morning until night, one of the last days of winter break before I left for college. The plan initially was to just get up, hang out for a bit, and then get lunch, but it bled all the way until the late night time.
So after the park, we went to lunch, a simple lunch at the Chinese place that we used to eat at. Surprisingly, the waiter actually remembered us. Well...he definitely remembers me since I go there so much XD
Anyway, we ate, and then I filled her in about college life, she filled me in about the hecticness of Senior year and college apps, and we talked about some of the things that had happened when I came back during the year to help volunteer at band and things like that, which was fun and all. We'd both grown up a lot in the intervening years, and it was nice to get such a food friend back again. I'm kind of lonely in college, since everyone just wants to party, and I've become a bit antisocial, which is weird. I have no idea why; I love talking!
So we talked, we joked, we laughed together, but we didn't play Starcraft, since I'd quit as well, and she was never really that into it, so we didn't watch any pro reps [I still keep up]. Then we watched some movies at her place, and ordered pizza, and I left around 11pm after she gave me a big hug, and asked that I visited her more.
It's nice to have such a great friend, even after all the crap that we had gone through, still talk to you. Though there was a bit of awkward, we're good friends now, and it's really great
Tl;dr: We're talking again, hang on to your good friends, they're not a dime a dozen
EDIT: I actually showed her the other blog; it was really funny, though a bit weird
