Dark Onyx Player Profile : Vecilionos Blog #15

DOxVec: I came up with my gamer tag while playing WoW. I wanted to have a name unique to everyone else, so I made it up on the spot. I went on and off between Vecilionos and Rudolph, but eventually things got to confusing so I switched fully to Vecilionos.

DOxReyder: well i'd have to say i like DOxVecilionos better

DOxReyder: Why was the alternative Rudolph?

DOxVec: I forget why, but that was my nickname back in middle school.

DOxVec: So when playing BW with my friends, we went with our nicknames.

DOxVec: No, my friend introduced us to the game. We were a little late, so just Broodwar.

DOxReyder: Well not a bad place to start in my opinion

DOxVec: I originally thought it was stupid. I played mostly RPGs, so I didn't think I would like an RTS like Starcraft. My friend kept trying to get my to play it. One day the 4 of us were at his house, and he had 4 netbooks set up on his dining room table. The other 2 guys liked it already, so it was just to convince me. I was forced to play it, and I didn't stop for the rest of the night.

DOxVec: So it was mostly just the fact that my friends played it too and the custom games.

DOxReyder: Wow soundsl like your friend had quite the set up! Have to say we at DOx are glad he was able to get to you to come around

DOxVec: Lol so am I :D

DOxVec: The first was a capture the flag type game. I don't remember the name. We played a lot of Snipers Installation and Who's the Murderer. My personal favorite was Phantom BGH though.

DOxReyder: Lol damn bringing back some memories there and any form of BGH was super fun

DOxVec: Zerg. I tried to dabble in terran, but my love for zerg was to strong.

DOxReyder: Eww nasty zerg bugs

DOxVec: I loved my zerg :D

DOxReyder: "Loved" glad you came over to the good side of the force in Terran for SC2

DOxVec: I didn't start as terran though.

DOxReyder: well at least you came to your senses

DOxVec: Lol right

DOxVec: I was a big fan of Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. I was also a WoW addict... kinda. I also played a lot of Elder Scrolls.

DOxReyder: You have very good taste my friend. I'm not sure there is a gamer reading this that hasn't spent years in front of Final Fantasy ,WoW, or even Elder Scrolls for that matter

DOxVec: Lol Final Fantasy was by far my favorite though

DOxVec: I was a late bloomer. My computer couldn't handle SC2, so I had to stick to BW. Christmas last year I finally upgraded my computer though. :D

DOxVec: Well, when my friend introduced us to Broodwar, he would tell us stories of how amazing Boxer was. Since then, I've loved Boxer. Since he isn't a player anymore, my favorite player is Bomber. I've loved him since I started watching SC2 when it came out. my favorite team is also Startale.

DOxReyder: not bad choices at all. I'd have to agree with those. TERRAN FTW

DOxVec: Lol, Bomber and MKP are the reason I switched to terran :D

DOxReyder: lol Korean Terrans will do that to you

DOxVec: I wish I could micro like them though

DOxReyder: Dont we all :/

DOxVec: I play very defensively. I wait for my opponent to screw up, if they don't then I am very aggressive late game

DOxReyder: you adopt that from Thorzain or just a natural play style for u?

DOxVec: Its just natural. I can never seem to win with early pressure, so I just play safe

DOxReyder: Awesome so i finally know how to beat you in practice MUAHAHAHAHA

DOxVec: Lol!

DOxReyder: j/k i probably still couldnt beat you.

DOxVec: haha, TvT is my best matchup, of course you couldn't

DOxReyder: lol not even gona disagree.

DOxVec: lol

DOxVec: i am 16.

DOxReyder: Another one of the DarkOnyx youngings.

DOxVec: Lol, I try. :D

DOxVec: Yes, I am hoping to get into UofM to study law.

DOxReyder: Awesome so when DOx gets big enough to need lawyers we know who to call

DOxVec: lol yep :D

DOxVec: Its tough. During soccer season, SC is non existent to me, but after it is over, I only have school to focus on, so I play SC on free time

DOxReyder: Well you did take a break from Dark Onyx for a while, was that the reason? and if so what brought you back to the team?

DOxVec: It was a stressful time for me. School wasn't going very well along with some personal issues, so I had to take a step back from games for a little bit. After a while, I started to play games again. I missed DOx, and so I decided to come back.

DOxReyder: Awesome plus a little birdy told me their leader is a pretty cool and understanding guy

DOxVec: I don't know about that...

DOxVec: Just kidding! :D

DOxVec: I have 1 brother. He is 18, but sadly he does not play Starcraft

DOxVec:

DOxReyder: why you talking to me you need to go to him RIGHT NOW and convert him!

DOxVec: He plays a little bit

DOxVec: Like once every 3 months

DOxReyder: dat bronze league lol

DOxVec: Not even

DOxVec: I joined the team because I wanted to get better at SC2, I stayed because the players awesome. I would tell others that these group off players are really fun to be around and it is a great place to improve your skills
