Here are some of the words I need to know how to say:
"Series" (Right now I usually say "Bo3" or "Bo5" etc.)
"out of position"
"Cast"
"Shout-out"
"Receding creep"
On the topic of terminology, there are a few things that confuse me... like the word "鋪“, a lot of the times I hear the words "鋪蟲塔” and other times I hear "鋪媽媽“ or "鋪狗”。I'm not entirely sure what this means.
Earlier today, I had unfortunately encountered a great deal of lag while casting the RSL. But the good news is I'm moving back in to university housing that I was at a year ago and I can max out at the required 3000/3000 upload rates for xsplit on a landline internet connection. Up until now, I have basically been using a DHCP internet connection. For those of you who don't understand what that means, typically I have a 20MB up/down rate, but I have to share that internet connection with my neighbors and the more people that get on and start downloading stuff, the more I lag. I'm moving next month, so this should be easily taken care of.
As for progress... I don't want to say too much, but I am certainly glad that I haven't given up completely. But I also have to say "There is no going back." So, now I have to take my Chinese studies to a whole new level.
And something else that really disappointed me was a player who I was looking forward to making it far in this tournament has dropped out. I am, of course, talking about the pro gamer from the most unexpected location (at least in my mind), Dali, Yunnan province in china. His name is ZergZergRose. It struck a personal cord with me because I lived in Kunming for about 10 months.
EDIT: For those of you who are tuning in to my stream on Tuesday morning, I will be giving away a free HoTS beta key when casting the ASL. Just tune in and I will give it away mid-stream.
I also read up on the thread about the Chinese SC2 scene in light of the BWC. You can see that story here if you haven't already.
