Its been a while since I wrote one, not that I wanted to write this one, I hate writing/typing, I mean one liners are easy but anything more than that needs to be meaningful, at least for me.
As it turns out, LR threads are pretty meaningful to me.
my tenure as an LR poster began on the great and historic finals of the 09-10 SPL finals between KT and SKT, oh yeah must have spammed over a hundred posts over there cheering vehemently(first time using this word) for KT to crush SKT and boy was it glorious.
and thus began a certain career in LR thread spamming with about, 9000 (8000 or so posts in BW LR threads alone!) in what was not only the longest season of proleague(10-11 season) but in my opinion the best season of proleague, made some great friends, got into bitter arguments, gained small amount of personal fame and all this carried on even more with the first half of the SK planet proleague.
In between all of that some fun was had even in those SC2 LR threads that everyone seems to hate, fun fact there was only one SC2 LR thread that has ever featured a MS paint banner, which I made lol :p seriously guys MS paint banners are baller as fuck, do eet, do eet nao.
and after all that, the hybrid proleague began and soon I lost the rush, the enjoyment of it all, I didn't want to even watch it, hell I don't think a single person did at all, I forced myself to watch it for the sake of supporting KT but it wasn't enough, it was just bad, no in fact it was sad, so sad.
but I guess the real reason I sat down and wrote this was that for that brief moment of time, I was able to feel this feeling I miss on TL, the SSL Grand Finals where it just felt so right, seeing all these people in the LR thread just basking in the awesomeness of the finals and the feeling of community in it, and most importantly the Juicegirls. I want to thank sonic and everyone who made the SSL possible, to let me get that feeling, the need, the need to post all the crap that goes through my head.
Hyde/Disciple's works of art come in strong 2nd place though.
SSL finals were an awesome throwback to the awesome times when BW was the premiere focus and pastime for most of TL. I extremely regretted having to stop watching after the 2nd game.
Also bITt.mAN, without spamming and expressing emotion we would not get 300 page long LR threads for Proleague/Starleague finals. So spam away, Konadora style
i remember when i was so scared doing my first LR thread and i was like BLIND PLZ HELP MEEEEE then i stayed up til 5 for like a week making them before i had a close cal with my parents lol.
As a recreational 'moviemaker' I appreciate anyone contributing to the LR threads, immensely helpful stuff. Weren't you the one to start the LR threads avalanche for SSL? Keep up the great job.
