Yeah, I've come quite a way from where I first started. It wasn't that long ago that I blogged about how I was approaching the 1-million annual revenue mark. Well, now it looks like I'm aiming for 2.
I started my online retail business on Amazon since June of 2011. With all of my savings, a little luck, and a lot of hard work, 15 months later I'm on the verge of another milestone.
I haven't really looked back and let everything soak it yet, but everything feels like a blur to me right now. I'm so busy I'm lucky to get 2-3 hours of sleep a night. Things are spiraling into madness with the current business responsibilities, plus my new clothing line that I'm about to launch very very soon (hopefully in time for Christmas). Everyone's been telling me to slow down or I'd get burned out very quickly. Maybe that's true, but I've been doing it for more than a year now and I'm still loving every minute of it... Well, almost :D ... Sometimes I just don't want to deal with a certain things/aspects, but I guess that's what it takes, I can't just pick the rosiest parts of a business, and pray I don't run into adversaries.
I've moved my "warehouse" out of my parent's garage, and into a real warehouse (~2200 sq. ft.) roughly 8 months ago I think, but I haven't had the time to organize and really make it world-class like I'd want it to be. 4 years working at Wal-Mart (6 months as an assistant manager) makes me long for the organized racks, the neatness of things, and the smoothness of their warehouse operations. I don't have the time to set it up, so I have to relay it to my employees, whom, unfortunately, have never experienced what a top-notch warehouse should look like. Obviously they did a terrible job setting up my warehouse, but I've since contracted my best friend from Wal-Mart, who, by the way, is an AMAZING employee. Wal-Mart was a fool to not have taken advantage of him. Well, he's in a better place now, with ME hahaha. Within 2 weeks of him working on my warehouse, it is starting to resemble the place of my dream, it is finally starting to look world-class, even though there is still a lot more to do.
Well, what is this "new record" that I speak of in the blog title? Well, yesterday, I did $7800 in sales revenue. That's right, 1 day! Wow, I still remember the day where $7800 was probably my entire month revenue, and it wasn't that long ago either.
Regardless of what awaits me in the future, I'm glad I finally found my life passion. Having my own business, be my own boss, and reap a fair reward for my work. I'm in a happy place now, even before I broke my first million mark (sales revenue), I just know that I have found what I want to do, and (hopefully) will do, for the rest of my life.
