I’ve always wanted to write a blog. But why would I write a blog when nothing interesting happens in my life? Finally, the time has come. I’ve moved into university, started classes, got enrolled into a few societies and sports events, and I play StarCraft 2 semi-professionally! So what else could I need before starting to write a blog? I think it could be interesting enough like this.
So what I’ve found I have really big problems (apart from getting accustomed to the UK Keyboard layout) is with having enough time as to practice SC2 without this hurting my subjects. Basically, the days are too short!
It’s not like I have many lessons every day, maybe 4-5 per day except Wednesday (where I have none) and Friday (where I have just 2), but there’s so much stuff to do at Uni! And it’s not like I’m an antisocial guy that has no friends; but rather than playing SC2 is enjoyable, as well as going out with the d00ds over here.
To be honest, I just received my Filco Majestouch with Cherry MX Blues, and writing this blog is quasi-orgasmic on that keyboard. It actually feels so amazingly robust!
Anyway, I’m off to the Boxing club, I’ll keep writing later!
---
So I promised myself not to edit this blog as I wrote it, so I’m not deleting anything! I just came back from boxing... Man it’s fucking hard, let me tell you that. The trainer was always talking about training your mind to overcome tiredness and laziness, and he definitely showed that by not giving us a single break. But I guess it will translate nicely into SC2 training once the time comes!
Now going out with the boxing club members, they are sponsored by a nice restaurant and we get huge discounts! Too bad that women that do boxing oftentimes are “too stronk”!
How do you guys that are at Uni manage with everything and SC2? By sacrificing social life, or not doing sports, or not going to lectures? Or do you manage everything at once?

It's all about compacting your time. People have way more time than you think, it really depends on how much you value your "alone" time. I personally really like just chilling by myself in my room surfing the internet, or watching tvshows, so I use up a lot of time on that. Also it's about sacrificing stuff during crunch time, so do less social stuff during midterm/finals week, but during the off weeks you can definitely spend more time with other stuff.

Aha... however, if I do less social stuff during the midterm / finals, then I have to study during that time, not being able to dedicate time to SC2 :/ I'll try just to maximise (compact?) the time that I have, as you said. And just be all the time "doing" stuff!

If you are attending a University. It is really a bad idea to let other stuff ruin your grades, and even make you fail. If you attend a university - I can by experience tell you that you need to prioritize. If you choose to play sc2 and chill, and not so much studying. You will fall behind. I am now 4th year medical student. I know what I am talking about! :D But. If you have good study techniques - you do not need to put sc2 away entirely. Allthough. 5 hours per day of sc2 is not going to be an option if you want to get out with good grades.
Prioritize! Do your studying first. Then do your "fun".
