EPTMy friends and I are gonna play some 4V4. We used to do this almost every Friday. We'd grab beers, start up Skype (I know, we are amateurs) and proceed to get our butts kicked. We tried the most crazy strats, with the most random units. We were terrible and it didn't matter. We had a ball. And then ... things got busy. One friend started writing his thesis, and since then the SCII games have stopped.
That's all going to change tonight, good sirs. My friend has handed in his thesis for editing. I'm about to head home and patch SCII for an hour or so, get some beer, and prepare to lose in the most hilarious ways possible. I fully expect to experience my allies going random (and then asking each other what the tech tree is for their new race). I plan on colossus rushing at some point, because LASER BEAMS. Eventually, we'll have to tell Eric to just make marines, and we'll take care of the rest. It's time to create good memories.
Some people play this game because they are competitive, and really want to be one of the best.
Some people play this game in order to avoid reality, and to create a world where they are in control.
Some people play this game for the community, to have a good time and to meet cool people. I play this game for the third reason, and I can't wait to get back to that reason tonight.
