IPL TAC Finals - Fail moments, but had fun!

MrSexington United States1768 Posts August 12 2012 08:01 GMT #1 *spoilers* Intro This was my first live event. Parking was fine (considering it's San Francisco). And me and my brother arrived just as Ret vs. Seed was about to begin. The hall itself was a little on the small side, but it was packed. It's hard to judge exactly how many people were there. You can judge that for yourself from the vids. My guess would be 1000-2000. My thread title is a little harsh since the atmosphere of the hall was great, the crowd was amazing, and IPL was definitely there to put on a show. There were just a few problems: Taeja vs. Seed I heard both video and audio went out for stream viewers? Taeja vs. Nestea I wanted Nestea to crush Taeja so this regame hurt. Since it was Nestea, I decided to record the whole game. Unfortunately, we had to leave after the first best-of-9. So I didn't have a chance to get any up close and personal pics of the players. The players I would have been most excited to meet would have easily been Sheth and Nestea. (For the swarm?) On the other hand, Nestea and Losira both passed me int he aisle a few times, just a few feet away. (Nerd chills?) Also, apologize for the shakey cam. I was recording a small flip mino.

DURING TAEJA VERSUS THE CODE S CURRENT CHAMPION :X Twitch Chat exploded (and it was even set to subscriber mode!) The thread on TL was rather upset. IRC was laughing. A few people were grumpy that we delayed TSL4 for this.. But in the end things evened out and although Liquid didn't win it was a fun event to watch. I have my own personal gripes about having to play two finals back to back for the loser bracket but this isn't the place Thank you for the videos and the battle report of the event, it's cool to see what it was like for the audience instead of just seeing the audience through a twitch stream! (I had a lot of trouble cheering against Nestea, my favorite player, while he was playing against Liquid (my favorite team) ) Good problems to have though.
