This game is bad.
Thats all there is to it, yea I know I suck I am aware of that but it still does not take away from the fact that this is a horrible RTS game. I use to want to be a pro but after I learned the life style that they live. I would rather work at Mcdonalds the rest of my life. This game brings out the worst in me when I play it. It makes me angry at everyone around me & it keeps me stressed out, why do I even play this game anymore? it is like I will get tired of how bad this game is and stop playing but something ALWAYS brings me back. And I really don't know why, after playing a few ladder games I am ready to bust the screen on my computer. As far as a spectator sport goes that is all it is good for. It is fun to watch, but then again it makes me want to play the game. Its like a never ending cycle, this game is un healthy I can't believe I was actually going to take off a semester of college to play this crap 24/7 anyone who "thinks" they can go pro. Don't even try it, I am living proof that you can't just become a pro. I have crazy respect for the pro players but at the same time I feel really sorry for them. I personally think this game is just based on luck, anything can happen. I am going to be like every other kid my age and go to college & major in something I enjoy. Instead of stress myself out of a game that isn't even enjoyable to me anymore. I use to be able to play 15+ games a day but this game has just beat me down and now I can barely even play 1 game a week.
Rant over.
Thanks for reading.
I love TL & the whole Sc2 community, but I just don't enjoy this game anymore. I wish I would of never purchased it, it is a un healthy addiction.

whether or not sc2 is a good game, i think the fundamental problem here is with you. The game doesn't make you rage, the game doesn't keep you playing, the game isn't unhealthy, the game isn't promising you pro-status if you play enough. This is all you, this is your anger, your addiction, your unhealthy playing habits, and your own outrageous belief you could ever make it pro.
Don't blame the game, blame the player.

5 stars just because I laughed at "era".

When you gona be working in mcDonalds you gona be saying the same thing! i mean, you fail at killing bugs while sitting in a comfortable chair sipping on lemonade your mom made you, what makes you think you can excel at flipping burgers while climbing the intricate ladder of mcDonald hierarchy?
To me youre doomed no matter how you look at it, bad genetic material. Im turning the page on you

i thought "era" was a pun....then i read the first sentence.

Care to explain? I'm not getting it, myself.

That is what I meant to do (;

I wish this was actually an intelligent blog post about blizzard and all the things they've done wrong with sc2. Oh well. Ranting is always good

5/5 for clever pun, intentional or not.
Really though, you need to realize that you don't have to be controlled by a game. If you aren't being entertained by a game, it's good and proper to stop playing it.

sc2 isnt a fun game to play constantly, but watching it is fun even if it can be snowbally
|
Is it just me or this sort of thread just always pops up and SC2 always has a part in it.....

I completely agree with the first poster, the problem is with you. Raging at the game comes from you, not the game. You are not proof that you "can't just go pro" (which you can - with the right mentality), you are just not right for the game.
The things you say are not true: the game is not based on luck, you're probably just not good enough at it to get that. I really think you should work on your rage and frustration issues instead of bashing the game, the problem is with you here.

Good for you, now you can spend more time fixing your english. Apologies if it's not your first language, disappointment if it is.

I could say the same thing to you.

Only luck factors I know in SC2 are .............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................I dunno.

It looks like everyone has yet to point out the biggest issue with his original plan to become a pro player. He used to be able to play 15+ games a day, even 30 is somewhat of a low amount for someone trying to practice this game at the highest levels.

SC2 is really a fucked up game based a lot on luck. There's a ton of horrible players winning money over way better ones. Nothing to do about it, that's what Dustin Browder wanted. Giving bad players a chance to beat good ones so the casual non competitive players would be happier to keep buying the game and advertising it to their friends.

OT: the game isn't making you play it, you are. if you don't enjoy it, don't play it. simple is that.
