So with the finals yesterday, this curse is 4 for 4. Kinda blew my mind. Interesting stat at the very least. Admittedly, though, that's still only a 1/16 chance of happening based on sheer statistics, so not entirely improbable. But still, I guess this is a new interesting statistic that might pop up on one of those "interesting stat" pop-ups that occur in the GSL.
It's also 6 for 6 if you think of the curse this way: "whoever eliminates TSL will lose to that season's champion in their next match". fOu lost to Slayers in GSTL3 right after beating TSL, and NSHS lost to Prime in GSTL 2012 Season 1 right after beating TSL as well.
Edit: And with MVP beating out TSL this season, and FXO beating out Startale, this curse will be 7 for 7 if FXO turns out to beat MVP.
