Hi! I've been spending the past couple of weeks this summer developing an idea for a game i've had for a long time. I've finally finished a somewhat playable Alpha version and would absolutely love some input from anyone who feels like trying it.
Please ask if you have any questions about how something works, and any feedback on the gameplay or otherwise would be greatly appreciated.
Since this is the first anyone except for my close friends hear about the game you might want to find someone to play against since there aint no one playing yet. Don't get too attached to your team though, wipes will most likely be necessary every now and then as i do changes.
The game is a simultaneous turns, turn based squad combat game. You and your opponents select your actions at the same time and the result is the calculated. Imagine rock-paper-scissors but (almost)infinitely more complex. Once combat is over, characters can increase in the skills they used during the battle and also the skill trees they belong to. When 5 points have been gained in a skill tree you can select a new skill in that tree.
If there is any interest i'd be happy to keep this thread updated with my progress. I'll be beginning work in a few weeks but i hope to still have some time to put into this project.

Hmm I tried playing against someone but it was stuck on the opponent timeout at 0. The game couldn't finish.

Its alpha alright =)
I'll look into it somewhat later, but you're right... Need to coordinate with someone to be able to play =)

Hmm... Somehow I'm in battle so I guess someone challenged me. I don't know since I didn't get any notice. It does however mean I can't change gear or formation. And pressing the arena button gives me an error "Something went wrong"

Hmm, i played it quite a bit against friends and it seemed to work then, but it's definitely not entirely stable 
Basically, when you go to the arena and queue, if there is someone else queuing, you get matched against each other. If no ones in queue, you get placed first in queue. Once you start queuing you are in the queue until you press the leave queue button, no matter where on the page you navigate. There is a little sword icon at the top right of the screen. It'll turn red if you find an opponent. But it's only updated when you navigate around, i'll make it self-updating in some hopefully not too future update.

Oh, and a tips. You'll want to be buying a weapon for each character initially. Unarmed characters can do no damage!

I see the red crossed swords but I get the same error when trying to press it...

Ah, damn. Your team or user must have ended up in some messed up state. Wonder what caused it. Just make a new user if you want to try again, you don't need a valid email, just something that could pass for valid. ie x@y.zzz.
Nvm. I think i fixed it serverside now. No need to make a new user, just try again

Id love to read more about this game and see some pictures. Edit: Cool, Ill hopefully have a game in a few days time.

There isn't much in the way of graphics yet. Stole some icons from WoW for now, but i'll replace them once i learn how to paint.... Here's a screenshot from the battle screen.

Ive made my squad:- Cardinalallin's Killteam Spade Queen Club Ace Joker
Ive set up with 4 at the front and the weakest 1 at the back with Javelins. The two with the highest toughness have short swords and the other two have shields.

Hey guys! Just wiped the server for an update. Should improve stability somewhat, but there are probably still some serious issues. I've spent some time trying to identify them and i think i got somewhere, but haven't had time to actually really fix it yet.
I also changed one of the basic skills, so i had to wipe the database.
I fixed so all characters begin with basic weapons, the type is based on their str vs dex.
I also did some cosmetical updates.
Edit: I'm going to make a new, longer blog with some more detail of the game once i feel like i've reached another milestone. Maybe a short little game guide too. Will be doing some help page with some more info on how the game and skills work behind the scenes i hope.

Yes! I think nailed down one of the more serious combat bugs now. It happened to be the case that whenever someone submitted after the time had gone out, the entire battle would and up in a corrupted state and be uncontinuable. Fixing it right now! (This is what caused you to be stuck at "Opponent timeout 0s")
