As you can see, I was low dia (mmr-wise) zerg, I am now a mid gold (mmr-wise).
At gold level it is really simple for me to win, so I expect to keep the platinum league as soon as I get a better feel of the matchups, specially TvT.
TvT is so boring, I am trying mass battlecruiser with thors, vikings... it's my worse matchup, tanks are too good and droping isn't that good when they have 1-2 bases and they don't even use their money, so it feels like the drop is useless indeed. My current strategy is to force them to not expand past 2 base (though I have a feeling they wouldn't expand anyway), then I can try to crush them with BC + viking, some tanks or helions if mass marine etc.
TvP is the most interesting matchup, I love using ghosts against them and I don't have to use tanks to survive. I hate managing tanks, so if I could only play TvP, the game would be really fun for me.
TvZ is random for me. I do my stuff and a-move and it generally works so fine it feels terran is OP, gold level zergs feel really limited I guess. ZvT was also my best matchup at low dia, so I was expecting for TvZ do feel difficult for me. I guess there are some few secrets that make it very easy for me at gold level. The mainly one is that most zergs will drone so so so much that the helion build with 4-6 red flame helions will do so much damage or at least get so much map control. I can't wait to get higher in the league to feel what it is like to feel hopeless =3
I'd play so much more on ladder if it wasn't for all the TvTs though... I feel so unluck for having so many terran opponents, I had less than 10% ZvT, now I have exactly 50% TvT (sc2gears doesn't lie!).
I am probably going to try some all-ins for TvT I guess. If I use my slighlty superior multitasking with a banshee build while expanding... that might work (at gold level, that is...).

You should try a marine hellion elevator/drop in TvT. It's a 1-base 1/1/1 pressure build that will definitely win you a ton of TvTs at gold as well as platinum level (from my personal experience). It's not all-in either! You will only be behind if you fail to do any damage at all. If they go for a fast expand (1 rax CC or CC first) or fast tech (banshee opener) you will crush them right-away at this level of play, assuming you do the build right.
10: depot 12: rax 13: gas 15: orbital + constant marine production from rax rax done: second depot 100 gas: factory factory done: starport + constant hellion production from factory don't EVER forget depots from now on starport done: medivac
I like to stay in my base until 5:30 against possible reapers (make sure to scout against that as well, are they taking gas? are they leaving space for a tech lab on their rax?), then I rally everything to the closest watchtower on most maps. Move all marines and hellions to your opponent's cliff when the medivac is 75% done and rally the medivac after your troops. The army and the medivac should arrive at the cliff at roughly the same time. You will need to elevator twice to get your entire army in. Then micro as best as possible, keeping the hellions alive and focus firing workers if they pull them.
Behind this attack you can get your CC, I also like to get a viking right after the medivac has popped against super early/proxy banshees and then your first tank for safety if your attack fails. With more minerals that will build up while you're microing you can throw down more rax, tech labs for stim/shield/shells and e-bays for upgrades.
I hope this build helps you win more in TvT without tanks and motivate you to play ladder more!

what?! tvt is boring?! no way man, go watch sayle casting the osl semi finals (nvm by the time i finished typing that sentence the last game ended)
tvt can be boring at first i would recommend watching day9 daily 478? i think it was he brings up a couple good things about tvt in general, once you get the hang of it tvt is so much fun from a strategic point of view its all about controlling the map and just defending your ass off until your enemy either gets bored or lets you win by a mistake

As a diamond Terran, I find TvT to be the easiest and most fun of all matchups. In TvT you are almost guaranteed to win if you are better than your opponent unlike the Terran vs. Xenos matchups. Terran doesn't have any freebie macro advantages over Terran and your mistakes aren't devastatingly punishable by superior unit production mechanics. To me, TvT is the most fun and interesting matchup because there aren't any particular timings you have to hit or you lose the match; you can be much more fluid in your decision making and as long as they are good decisions and you have good mechanics you are pretty certain to win. I hope this isn't taken as a balance whine lol. I'm pretty sure it's true though, that TvT isn't a fast, cut-throat mirror like the others because Terran is a much slower race that relies more on proper positioning and foresight than swift punishes. So just take it easy in your TvT. Focus on playing well and preparing for what your opponent is doing.
I'm totally down for practicing some TvT if you haven't got anybody to play with already =D

tvt at low levels is really easymode if you can a) micro a banshee and b) micro some combat shield marines. i think it's simple enough to either go for a fast cloak banshee into a marine tank banshee scv allin follow up or 1rax CC into 3rax combat shields into marine tank contain.
the typical low level 1 base defense vs shee is to make a ton of turrets, which loses immediately to any tank follow up. also, it's pretty unlikely that a 1 base allin will save any scans, which means you can kill his forces in the middle with impunity, and then crush him with an allin since he just lost all his stuff.
going the combat shields route means you can fight any non scv allin with pure marine and engaging him in the middle of the map. if he pulls his scvs you just pull your scvs and since you've got 2 OCs you always come out ahead. in the case that your opponent is also 1rax CC there's an easy 2 medivac drop timing with stim that can do a lot of damage.
if you're finding yourself not really knowing how to finish the game when he's turtling the best way is to just tank contain and elevator into his main. bc viking is not a really useful composition because he can always push out and end the game as you're transitioning, and it's much much much easier to get busted if you're making thors instead of tanks.
